- Rasputín y la zarina (en inglés, Rasputin and the Empress) es una película estadounidense de 1932 dirigida por Richard Boleslawski y protagonizada por Lionel Barrymore como Grigori Rasputín, Ethel Barrymore como Alejandra Fiódorovna Románova y John Barrymore como el príncipe Chegodieff. El personaje del príncipe Chegodieff está inspirado en el príncipe Félix Yusúpov y la princesa Natasha está inspirada en la princesa Irina Alexándrovna. La cinta insinúa que Rasputín violó a Natacha, hecho que no ocurrió y produjo que los príncipes representados por la abogada demandarán a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer por difamación e invasión a la privacidad. Los príncipes ganaron el juicio, por el que recibieron 127.373 dólares en un juzgado inglés y 250.000 dólares en un acuerdo extrajudicial con la MGM. Adicionalmente se eliminó la escena de la disputa y se retiró la cinta de circulación. Produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), the film is set in Imperial Russia and stars the Barrymore siblings (John, as Prince Chegodieff; Ethel, as Czarina Alexandra; and Lionel Barrymore, as Grigori Rasputin). It is the only film in which all three siblings appear together. The film's inaccurate portrayal of Prince Felix Yusupov and his wife Princess Irina (renamed "Prince Chegodieff" and "Princess Natasha") resulted in a historically significant lawsuit against MGM and gave rise to the "all persons fictitious disclaimer", which has since become standard in Hollywood works of fiction. In febbraio, in Germania era uscito Rasputin, Dämon der Frauen, un'altra pellicola che si ispirava alla vicenda del monaco russo e che vedeva protagonista Conrad Veidt. La MGM pagò al principe Yusupov una grossa cifra per evitare il processo di diffamazione intentato dal principe contro la compagnia di Culver City; da quel momento, per le case di produzione diventò una regola inserire in tutti i film la dizione all persons fictitious disclaimer.
