- Die North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU) ist der Rugby-Union-Provinzverband für die ehemaligen Städte Waitakere City und North Shore City sowie den ehemaligen Rodney District auf der Nordinsel Neuseelands, also den nördlichen Teil des Ballungsraumes von Auckland. Die Auswahlmannschaft des Verbandes in der nationalen Meisterschaft ITM Cup trägt ihre Heimspiele im North Harbour Stadium in Albany aus. Spieler von North Harbour sind berechtigt, in der internationalen Liga Super Rugby zu spielen und werden von den Blues aufgeboten. Der Verband wurde 1985 gegründet, nachdem sich mehrere Vereine von der Auckland Rugby Football Union abgespalten hatten. Der bisher größte Erfolg ist der Gewinn des Herausforderungsspiels um den Ranfurly Shield am 24. September 2006 gegen Canterbury. (de)

North Harbour fut formée en 1985 à partir de clubs qui avaient quitté la Auckland Rugby Football Union. Des joueurs participent aussi au Super 14 avec les Blues. - The North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU), commonly known as North Harbour or simply Harbour, is the governing body of rugby union that encompasses a wide geographical area north of Auckland that includes North Shore City, Rodney District, the Hibiscus Coast and part of Waitakere City. There are 12 rugby clubs from Mahurangi RFC, based in Warkworth, Rodney District, in the north through to Massey the southernmost area of the union. The NHRU provincial rugby team that was formed in 1985 by clubs that left the Auckland Rugby Union. It competes in the Mitre 10 Cup, the successor to New Zealand's former domestic competition, the National Provincial Championship (NPC). (en)
