- Das Musée des Blindés (deutsch Museum der Panzerfahrzeuge) ist ein Panzermuseum in Saumur an der Loire im Westen Frankreichs. Es beherbergt mehr als 800 Panzerfahrzeuge (darunter viele Kampfpanzer), von denen über 200 voll funktionsfähig sind. Das Museum restauriert Fahrzeuge und hat zahlreiche Exemplare wieder fahrfähig gemacht. Aufgrund der zahlreichen fahrbereiten Exponate, die in regelmäßigen Abständen in Aktion gezeigt werden, nennt sich das Haus „Eine lebendige Sammlung“ (französisch Une collection vivante). Im Jahr 2003 feierte das Museum sein 25-jähriges Jubiläum. Hier befinden sich – unter anderem – der einzige fahrbereite Tiger II „Königstiger“ der Welt und eine nahezu komplette Sammlung deutscher Panzer und Militärfahrzeuge. (de)

Sólo puede exhibir menos de una cuarta parte debido a limitaciones de espacio, a pesar de haber sido trasladado a un edificio bastante mayor en 1993. Inauguré en 1977 dans les anciens hangars du clos Beaufort, le musée déménage en 1996 au no 1043 de la route de Fontevraud, dans des locaux rachetés à la SEITA et remis à neuf par le ministère de la Défense. Il occupe une surface de 22 000 m2 afin de regrouper les collections alors disséminées notamment à Fontevraud, Bourges et Le Mans. Le musée accueille en moyenne 45 000 visiteurs par an. Le musée a été renommé « musée des Blindés Général-Estienne » en hommage au général Jean-Baptiste Eugène Estienne, le créateur de l'arme blindée française. (fr)
- The Musée des Blindés ("Museum of Armoured Vehicles") or Musée Général Estienne is a tank museum located in the Loire Valley of France, in the town of Saumur. It is now one of the world's largest tank museums. It began in 1977 under the leadership of Colonel Michel Aubry, who convinced both the French military hierarchy and the local political authorities. Started 45 years ago with only a few hundred tracked vehicles, it has become a world-class collection which attracts visitors interested in the history of multinational tank development as well as professional armor specialists. From the very beginning, Colonel Aubry had made it a key policy of the museum to restore to running condition as many historically or technically significant vehicles as was feasible. The museum has the world's largest collection of armoured fighting vehicles and contains well over 880 vehicles, although the British Tank Museum has a larger number of tanks. Because of shortage of space, less than a quarter can be exhibited, despite the move to a much larger building in 1993. Over 200 of the vehicles are fully functional, including the only surviving German Tiger II tank still in full working order. It often performs in the spectacular armor demonstration for the public, called the Carrousel, which takes place in the summer every year. Saumur was the traditional training center for cavalry for over a century but now holds the current Armoured Cavalry Branch Training School which is entirely dedicated to training armor specialists. The tank museum had its early origins in a study collection. It is still a State institution funded by the Army, but it is managed by the Association des Amis du Musée des Blindés which publishes a substantial yearly magazine and encourages membership from the public. - Il Musée des Blindés di Saumur è un dove sono conservati più di 800 carri armati e blindati delle nazioni maggiormente militarizzate e industrializzate, ovvero Stati Uniti, Gran Bretagna, Francia, Italia, Germania, Giappone, Russia e Spagna. Nonostante più di 200 mezzi siano originali, oltre la metà dei veicoli conservati sono repliche a causa della rarità dei pezzi di ricambio. Vi sono esposti Mark I A7V, Renault FT, Panzer IV, M4 Sherman, T-34, Saint-Chamond, 75/18 e molti altri carri. Sono conservati anche alcuni (autoblindo russo della prima guerra mondiale), alcuni pezzi di artiglieria come il famoso 8,8 cm FlaK e altre armi da fuoco. Vi sono anche uniformi della prima e della seconda guerra mondiale. Il museo è dotato anche di un gruppo di meccanici specializzati in carri armati e riparazione blindati che hanno il compito di vigilare, riparare e cercare i pezzi necessari, che per ovvi motivi sono molto rari. Il restauro completo, molto complesso e costoso, dura in media uno o due anni. Nella zona delle riparazioni sono presenti parti di carri armati, torrette, scafi, cingoli e motori restaurati. (it)

Het beschikt over zo'n 880 exemplaren waarvan slechts een deel tentoongesteld kan worden in verband met ruimtegebrek. Meer dan 200 voertuigen zijn rijklaar en treden nog op in militaire shows. Het heeft in de collectie exemplaren van de oudste tanks, waarvan de ontwikkeling omstreeks de Eerste Wereldoorlog begon. Naast oude en moderne Franse gevechtsvoertuigen beschikt het ook over veel Duits en geallieerd pantsermaterieel uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Er is een speciale zaal met experimentele voertuigen al is deze niet open voor het publiek. Een bibliotheek met veel informatie over Franse pantservoertuigen ontbreekt niet. Zlokalizowane jest w dolinie Loary w mieście Saumur, w departamencie Maine i Loara we Francji. Obecna nazwa muzeum nawiązuje do francuskiego generała . Kolekcja obejmuje ponad 880 pojazdów, z czego około 200 pojazdów jest wciąż sprawnych i bierze udział w corocznej paradzie o nazwie Carrousel. Pomimo przeprowadzki muzeum w 1993 do większych pomieszczeń na ekspozycji jest około 25% eksponatów z kolekcji muzeum. Saumur było tradycyjnym ośrodkiem szkolenia francuskich kawalerzystów i taki też był zamysł organizacji muzeum. Obecnie muzeum kawalerii w Saumur jest oddzielną placówką muzealną. Ozdobą kolekcji są tu francuskie Schneider CA1, St Chamond, AMC 35, AMR 33 i ARL 44, a także liczne konstrukcje eksperymentalne.
