The Mull of Galloway (Scottish Gaelic: Maol nan Gall, pronounced [mɯːlˠ̪ nəŋ ˈkaulˠ̪]; grid reference NX158303) is the southernmost point of Scotland. It is situated in Wigtownshire, Dumfries and Galloway, at the end of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula. The Mull has one of the last remaining sections of natural coastal habitat on the Galloway coast and as such supports a wide variety of plant and animal species. It is now a nature reserve managed by the RSPB. Mull means rounded headland or promontory.

Das Gelände um den Turm herum ist ein Naturschutzpark, in dem zahlreiche Tier- und Pflanzenarten geschützt werden. Ein mit Rasen bedeckter ovaler Cairn befindet sich auf einem niedrigen Hügel 40 m nördlich des Leuchtturms. Es misst 16,5 × 15 m quer und erreicht bis zu 2,2 m Höhe. Während dem Bau einer Wasserleitung in der Nähe des Cairns wurden zwei etwa 30 cm breite zweier flachen parallele Rillen im natürlichen Aufschluss entdeckt, auf dem der Steinhaufen liegt.
