- Lågskär —en español: «escollo bajo»— es una pequeña isla de 43 hectáreas perteneciente al archipiélago finlandés de Åland. Está situada a unos 24 km al sur de Mariehamn, en el mar de Åland. Se caracteriza por riscos y acantilados en la costa, y una vegetación abundante en el interior. En su parte meridional se ubican los islotes de Sundbloms Grund, Söderklappen y Österkläppen. Junto con Björkör, ocupa una superficie de poco más de 60 km² y tiene una altitud media de 7 msnm. Reconocida por ser un criadero para aves acuáticas, la isla es frecuentada por ornitólogos que utilizan el faro durante su estancia para pernoctar. Este fue construido en 1920, con un dispositivo de alumbrado rotatorio mediante gas, el primero de su tipo en el mundo. Por su parte, es de destacar que varios buques de guerra se han hundido frente a su costa, incluyendo el acorazado alemán SMS Rheinland durante una espesa niebla en 1918. Además, son numerosas las rutas de ferry que pasan a escasos kilómetros de su territorio, como la que une Estocolmo con Tallin y la que va desde Mariehamn a Helsinki. - Lågskär (Swedish for "low skerry") is a small island within the Åland's archipelago of Finland. It belongs to the municipality of Lemland. It is situated about 24 kilometres (15 mi) south of Mariehamn in the Baltic's Sea of Åland. The main island of Lågskär measures 61 hectares (150 acres) in area. Rock stacks, sea cliffs and rocky shores are found along the coastline of the island.As a breeding ground for waterfowl, Lågskär has the status of an Important Bird Area (IBA) and is frequented by ornithologists who use the Lågskär Lighthouse buildings during their stay. - Lågskär (Zweeds voor 'lage scheer') is een klein rotsachtig onbewoond eiland in de archipel van de Åland-eilanden in Finland. Het eiland behoort tot de gemeente Lemland. Het ligt ongeveer 24 kilometer ten zuiden van Mariehamn in de Oostzee. Het hoofdeiland heeft een oppervlakte van 61 hectare.
