- Jannabi (Korean: 잔나비; stylized in all caps or JANNABI) is a South Korean indie rock band that was formed in 2012 and debuted in 2014 under the independent label Peponi Music, whose core membership consisted of vocalist Choi Jung-hoon and guitarist Kim Do-hyung. Originally a quintet alongside keyboardist Yoo Young-hyun, drummer Yoon Kyul and bassist Jang Kyung-joon, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with Choi and Kim remaining the only constant members since its inception. Currently, the duo expanded to include session musicians. They are noted for their live performances and self-produced songs. Though their sound has diversified throughout their career, their musical style blends pop melodies, classical music elements and nostalgic overtones in innovative ways, characterized with incisive lyricism of the Korean language. Most of their albums are conceptual in nature and focus on literary, sociological and youth-oriented themes. Jannabi achieved critical and commercial success in 2019 with their album Legend which along with its single "For Lovers Who Hesitate," hit number one on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart, received platinum streaming and download certifications from Korea Music Content Association and won various accolades including Song of the Year (Daesang) and Best Modern Rock Song at the Korean Music Awards. The album, credited for breaking new ground in 2019 Korean popular music, made their old singles such as "Baby I Need You," "Summer" and "She" simultaneously chart on the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard K-pop 100 in the same year. Jannabi has released a total of three studio albums and three extended plays in their career, three of which have peaked in the top ten of the Gaon Album Chart. They won the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Band Performance titles in both 2019 and 2021 for their songs "For Lovers Who Hesitate" and "A Thought on an Autumn Night." (en)
- Jannabi (hangeul : 잔나비) est un groupe d'indie rock sud-coréen composé de quatre musiciens : Choi Jung-hoon, Kim Do-hyung, Jang Kyung-joon, et Yoon Kyul. Le groupe a été créé en 2012 et comportait à l'origine trois membres. L'effectif s'est ensuite étoffé avec les arrivées dans le groupe de Jang Kyung-joon et Yoon Kyul. Après le départ de Young-hyun en 2019, Jannabi comporte désormais quatre membres. Le groupe a présenté son premier EP, See Your Eyes, en 2014, ainsi que deux albums : Monkey Hotel (2016) et Legend (2019). Jannabi a été nommé dans la catégorie « Meilleur album de Rock moderne » (« Best Modern Rock Album ») à l'occasion des (en) 2020.
