- Isratin (arabisch إسراطين, DMG Isrāṭīn; hebräisch יִשְׂרָטִין Yisrāṭīn), im Hebräischen auch umschrieben als „bi-nationaler Staat“ (מדינה דו-לאומית medina du-le-umīt), ist ein Kunstwort, mit dem ein einheitliches, föderales oder konföderales israelisch-palästinensisches Staatsgebilde gemeint ist, das die Territorien des heutigen Staates Israel, das Westjordanland und den Gazastreifen umfasst. Je nach politischem Standpunkt wird ein solches Szenario entweder als unhaltbare Situation aufgefasst, in der Israel seinen Charakter als jüdischer Nationalstaat verlieren würde und die Palästinenser in ihrem Streben nach völkerrechtlicher Souveränität im Rahmen einer Zweistaatenlösung gescheitert wären, oder als wünschenswerte und anzustrebende Lösung des langwährenden Nahostkonfliktes durch die Gründung eines Einheitsstaates, der Israelis und Palästinenser als gleichberechtigtes Staatsvolk innerhalb seiner Landesgrenzen vereint. Depending on various points of view, such a scenario is presented as a desirable one-state solution to resolving the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, or as a calamity in which Israel would ostensibly lose its character as a Jewish state and the Palestinians would fail to achieve their national independence within a two-state solution.
