- Hlinka Gretzky Cup (také známý jako Světový pohár juniorů do 18 let, dříve používané názvy Pacifický pohár, Národní pohár a Memoriál Ivana Hlinky) je každoročně konaný turnaj národních týmů do 18 let v ledním hokeji. Turnaj nese od roku 2004 název po v témže roce zesnulém českém hokejistovi a trenéru Ivanu Hlinkovi. Od roku 2002 se soutěž výlučně hrála v českých a slovenských městech současně. Seit 2006 trägt es den Namen des 2004 verstorbenen, mehrfachen Weltmeisters Ivan Hlinka, bevor im Jahre 2018 der Name von Wayne Gretzky hinzukam und die Veranstaltung seither als Hlinka Gretzky Cup firmiert. Die mit Abstand meisten Turniersiege errang Kanada. Das Turnier wird von der Internationalen Eishockey-Föderation nicht sanktioniert, die stattdessen alljährlich im April die Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft der U18-Junioren ausrichtet. - The Hlinka Gretzky Cup is an annual international under-18 ice hockey tournament administered by Hockey Canada, the Czech Ice Hockey Association, and the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation. Held since 1991, it has been contested under various titles and in various countries, including Japan, Mexico, and Canada. From 1997 through 2017, hosting duties for the event alternated between, and were later split between, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. During this period, the event was known as the Nations Cup, the U-18 Junior World Cup, and Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. From 2018 through 2023, the tournament will alternate between Edmonton/Red Deer, Alberta and Břeclav, Czech Republic/Piešťany, Slovakia. The event is not sanctioned by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), which holds its own U18 championship in April. As that event conflicts with playoffs within the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), the Hlinka Gretzky Cup is one of the few opportunities for Canada to compete with its strongest U-18 national team. Canada has subsequently been the most dominant team in the tournament, having won 22 times. The tournament is a prominent pre-season showcase for National Hockey League (NHL) prospects; 17 players on Canada's winning team from 2017 were selected with first-round picks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Denna turnering är inte en officiell IIHF-turnering till skillnad från U18-VM i ishockey. Turneringen har spelats sedan 1991 och spelas oftast i augusti då spelarna i allmänhet inte är upptagna av spel i sina ligor. Detta har givit turneringen hög status. Mellan 2007 och 2017 hette turneringen Ivan Hlinkas minnesturnering, uppkallad efter Ivan Hlinka, en av dåvarande Tjeckoslovakiens mest legendariska ishockeyspelare under 1970- och 1980-talet. Han var framgångsrik som professionell i NHL och han var också tjeckisk förbundskapten 1994 och 2004. Han omkom i en bilolycka den 16 augusti 2004. Mellan 2018 och 2022 kommer turneringen heta Hlinka Gretzky Cup, för att hylla båda Ivan Hlinka och den kanadensiska ishockeyspelaren Wayne Gretzky.
