| - Frank Wildhorn (born 1959) is an American composer. In 1999, Wildhorn became the first American composer in twenty two years to have three shows running simultaneously on Broadway: Jekyll & Hyde at the Plymouth Theatre, The Scarlet Pimpernel at the Minskoff, and The Civil War at the St. James Theatre. Despite having three of his musicals running simultaneously on Broadway, none of them turned a profit and, so far, Frank Wildhorn's productions have lost $20 million on broadway. In the popular music arena, Wildhorn has worked with such artists as Stacy Lattisaw, Natalie Cole, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, Tracy Lawrence, Trace Adkins, Patti LaBelle, Dennis DeYoung and Linda Eder, to whom he was married. His Where Do Broken Hearts Go? was an international number one hit for Whitney Houston in the late 1980s. He was named Creative Director of Atlantic Theatre, a division of Atlantic Records which specializes in developing new American musical works and their potential stars while strengthening the relationship between commercial theatre and the music industry. In 2005, he co-founded *GlobalVision Records with long-time collaborator Jeremy Roberts. - Frank Wildhorn (* 29. November 1959 in New York, N.Y.) ist ein US-amerikanischer Komponist. Erste Erfolge hatte er mit Songs für Whitney Houston (Where do broken hearts go), danach wurde er ein erfolgreicher Musicalkomponist. Wildhorn ist der erste Komponist seit George Gershwin, der gleichzeitig 3 Shows am Broadway hatte. Seit der Premiere von Jekyll & Hyde in Bremen feiert er auch in Europa Erfolge. Seine Werke werden seitdem in Amerika, Europa und Japan aufgeführt. Im Jahr 2006 fand in Budapest erstmals eine Uraufführung eines neuen Werkes in Europa statt: "Rudolf", ein Musical das sich mit dem Tod des österreichischen Kronprinzen Rudolf, 1889 in Mayerling, Österreich beschäftigt. Z.zz arbeitet Frank Wildorn mit David Hasselhoff in L.A. an ein neues Album. Dieses soll noch dieses Jahr auf dem Markt kommen. Weitere Einzelheiten sind noch nicht bekannt. (de)
