The Duke of Slavonia (Croatian: slavonski herceg; Latin: dux Slavoniae), also Duke of Dalmatia and Croatia (Croatian: herceg Hrvatske i Dalmacije; Latin: dux Dalmatiae et Croatiae) and sometimes Duke of "Whole Slavonia", Dalmatia and Croatia (Croatian: herceg cijele Slavonije, Hrvatske i Dalmacije; Latin: dux totius Sclavoniae, Croatiae et Dalmatiae) was a title of nobility granted several times in the 13th and 14th centuries, mainly to relatives of Hungarian monarchs or other noblemen. Si bien no existía ninguna ley que lo estableciese, esta dignidad era tradicionalmente tomada por el heredero al trono del reino de Hungría. Parelalmente existía un "ban" o "gobernador" que administraba la región de Eslavonia, pues en muchos casos las personalidades reales si bien portaban el título de duque, no realizaban gestiones administrativas. El título de duque de Eslavonia nunca figuró entre los títulos portados por el rey de Hungría. Igualmente en muchos casos el título de duquesa de Eslavonia fue llevado por las reinas consortes viudas, al ser otorgado por sus hijos reinantes. (es)
