- The Bicentennial of Chile (Spanish: Bicentenario de Chile) took place on September 18, 2010. The celebration commemorates the beginning of the Independence process in Chile, with the first Government Junta of Chile on September 18, 1810, and Chile's becoming a free and independent country eight years later. Several activities were prepared for this occasion by the Chilean Government. The logotype Logo Bicentenario was created in 2007 by the advertising agency Lowe Porta. The stars on it are an abstract representation of Latin American countries, and "happiness, celebrations and optimism." (en)

Su celebración conmemoró los 200 años del inicio del proceso de independencia de Chile, con la instauración de la Primera Junta Nacional de Gobierno el 18 de septiembre de 1810, que luego de casi ocho años, acabaría transformando a Chile en un país libre e independiente. La celebración correspondió a diversas actividades y planes nacionales que se fueron preparando con varios años de anticipación a nivel gubernamental, por ejemplo, con la creación de la Comisión Bicentenario.
