- Η Ατλαντίς ήταν η πρώτη επιτυχημένη ημερήσια εφημερίδα στην ελληνική γλώσσα η οποία εκδιδόταν στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Η εφημερίδα ιδρύθηκε το 1894 από τον Σόλων Τ. Βλαστό και Δημήτριο Τ. Βλαστό, απόγονοι της ελληνικής οικογένειας ευγενών Βλαστού. Η εφημερίδα εκδιδόταν από την οικογένεια Βλαστού μέχρις ότου έβαλε λουκέτο το 1973. Εκδιδόταν στην Νέα Υόρκη και είχε εθνική κυκλοφορία και την επιρροή. Η Ατλαντίς υποστήριξε τη βασιλόφρονα παράταξη στην ελληνική πολιτική σκηνή μέχρι τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 1960. Η εφημερίδα εξέδιδε διάφορες ειδήσεις, όπως πληροφορίες περί πολιτογράφησης, ανακούφιση από το πόλεμο, ελληνοαμερικανικά επιχειρηματικά συμφέροντα και νέα για την ελληνική θρησκευτική ενότητα. (el)
- The Atlantis was the first successful Greek language daily newspaper published in the United States. The newspaper was founded in 1894 by Solon J. and Demetrius J. Vlasto, descendants of the Greek noble family, Vlasto. The paper was headed by a member of the Vlasto family until it closed in 1973. Published in New York City, it had a national circulation and influence. Atlantis supported the royalist faction in Greek politics until the mid-1960s.
