- Les Eleccions legislatives croates de 2003 es van dur a terme el 23 de novembre de 2003 per a renovar els 151 membres del Sabor croat (140 locals, 8 de les minories, 4 de la diàspora). El partit més votat fou la Unió Democràtica Croata, però no va obtenir prou diputats per a formar govern, i hagué de formar govern amb Centre Democràtic, el partit serbi i el Partit dels Pensionistes. Ivo Sanader fou nomenat primer ministre de Croàcia. (ca)
- Parliamentary elections to elect all 151 members of the Croatian Parliament were held on 23 November 2003. They were the fifth parliamentary elections to take place since the first multi-party elections in 1990. Voter turnout was 61.7%. The result was a victory for the opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) which won a plurality of 66 seats, but fell short of the 76 needed to form a government. HDZ chairman Ivo Sanader was named the eighth Prime Minister of Croatia on 23 December 2003, after parliament passed a confidence motion in his government cabinet, with 88 MPs voting in favor, 29 against and 14 abstaining. The ruling coalition going into the elections, consisting of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Croatian People's Party (HNS), Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), Party of Liberal Democrats (Libra) and the Liberal Party (LS), did not contest the elections as a single bloc; the SDP ran with the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS), the Party of Liberal Democrats (Libra) and the Liberal Party, HNS ran with the Alliance of Primorje-Gorski Kotar (PGS) and the Slavonia-Baranja Croatian Party (SBHS), while HSS ran on its own. - Wybory parlamentarne w Chorwacji w 2003 roku odbyły się 23 listopada 2003. W wyniku tych wyborów wyłoniono łącznie 152 deputowanych do Zgromadzenia Chorwackiego V kadencji. Ordynacja wyborcza przewidywała wybór 140 posłów w 10 okręgach wydzielonych w kraju. W każdym z nich przyznano po 14 mandatów przy zastosowaniu metody d'Hondta i przy obowiązującym progu wyborczym 5% w skali okręgu. Jedenasty okręg wydzielono dla Chorwatów mieszkających poza granicami kraju, liczbę posłów ustalono na podstawie frekwencji (ostatecznie wyłoniono w nim 4 posłów). Dwunasty okręg obejmował 8 mandatów przeznaczonych dla przedstawicieli mniejszości narodowych – 3 dla mniejszości serbskiej oraz 5 w jednomandatowych podokręgach dla pozostałych mniejszości (w tym 1 dla Węgrów i 1 dla Włochów). Łącznie uprawnionych do głosowania było blisko 4,09 mln osób. Wybory zakończyły się zwycięstwem pozostającej od 2000 w opozycji Chorwackiej Wspólnoty Demokratycznej, co doprowadziło do powstania nowego rządu HDZ, na czele którego stanął Ivo Sanader. (pl)
