- The 1961 European Cup Winners' Cup Final was an association football match contested between Fiorentina of Italy and Rangers of Scotland. It was the final match of the 1960–61 European Cup Winners' Cup and the first European Cup Winners' Cup final. It was the only time that the final was played over two legs. The first leg was played at Ibrox Park, Glasgow and the second leg at the Stadio Comunale in Florence. It was Rangers first European final and in doing so became the first British team to reach the final of a European football competition. It was Fiorentina's second European final having previously reached the 1957 European Cup Final. Fiorentina won the final 4–1 on aggregate. (en)

Cette finale prend la forme d'une double confrontation aller-retour prenant place le 17 mai et 27 mai 1961, respectivement à l'Ibrox Stadium de Glasgow, et au Stadio Comunale de Florence. La partita, arbitrata dall'austriaco Erich Steiner, finì 2-0 per i Viola. La gara di ritorno si disputò dopo dieci giorni al Comunale di Firenze e fu arbitrata dall'ungherese Vilmos Hernádi. All'incontro assistettero circa 50 000 spettatori e il match terminò 2-1 per gli italiani. (it)
- De finale van de Europacup II van het seizoen 1960/61 werd gehouden op 17 en 27 mei 1961. Het was de eerste finale van het nieuwe Europese toernooi. Het Italiaanse AC Fiorentina nam het op tegen het Schotse Glasgow Rangers. Fiorentina won zowel de heen- als terugwedstrijd. In de heenwedstrijd kwam Fiorentina op voorsprong via Luigi Milan. Eric Caldow kreeg nadien via een strafschop de kans om gelijk te maken, maar de Schotse aanvoerder trapte de bal naast het doel. Vlak voor het einde van de wedstrijd maakte Milan zijn tweede treffer. Voor de terugwedstrijd konden de Schotten wel rekenen op spits Jimmy Millar. Hij keerde terug na een blessure, maar ook hij kon het tij niet keren. Opnieuw Milan bracht Fiorentina op voorsprong. Alex Scott maakte na een uur gelijk, maar de Zweedse flankaanvaller Kurt Hamrin zorgde alsnog voor een Italiaanse zege. (nl)
