- Tintín al país dels soviets (en francès Tintin au pays des Soviets) és el primer volum de Les aventures de Tintín, la sèrie de còmics del dibuixant belga Hergé. Encarregat pel conservador diari belga Le Vingtième Siècle com a propaganda anticomunista pel seu suplement infantil Le Petit Vingtième, va ser publicat setmanalment des del 10 de gener del 1929 a l'11 de maig de 1930. El còmic narra la història del jove periodista belga Tintín i el seu gos Milú, que són enviats a la Unió Soviètica per informar sobre les polítiques del govern bolxevic de Ióssif Stalin. La intenció de Tintin d'exposar els secrets del règim desperta l'interès dels agents de la policia secreta soviètica, l'OGPU, que intenten atrapar-lo per matar-lo. Recolzat per trucs publicitaris, el còmic va tenir un gran èxit comercial, i va aparèixer en forma de llibre el 1930 poc després de la seva conclusió. Hergé va continuar Les aventures de Tintín amb Tintín al Congo, i la sèrie esdevingué una part important de la tradició del còmic francobelga. Més tard ell mateix va lamentar la poca investigació que havia portat a terme i el caràcter massa propagandístic del que havia estat el seu debut i per això va oposar-se a la republicació fins al 1973. Juntament amb la inacabada Tintín i l'Art-Alfa, va ser l'única història de Tintín que mai ha aparegut en color fins que el 2017 Michel Bareau va acceptar el repte per l'editorial Moulinsart, a l'ocasió del 88è aniversari de la primera publicació. Originalmente publicada en el suplemento juvenil Le Petit Vingtième entre el 10 de enero de 1929 y el 8 de mayo de 1930, siendo posteriormente recopilada en formato álbum en 1930. Creada para servir de propaganda antimarxista para los niños, fue encargada por el jefe de Hergé, el abate Norbert Wallez, quien llevaba el diario católico belga Le Vingtième Siècle, en donde se publicó Le Petit Vingtième. El argumento gira en torno al reportero belga Tintín y a su perro Milú, quienes viajan a Moscú, vía Berlín, para hacer un reportaje sobre las políticas instituidas por el dictador comunista Iósif Stalin. El éxito de los trabajos sobre la historieta de Hergé Las aventuras de Tintín, a partir de la controvertida Tintín en el Congo (1930-31), haría que el autor publicase en ella una nueva serie cómica, titulada Quique y Flupi. Es el único de todos los cómics de Tintín no adaptado posteriormente en color (exceptuando Tintín y el Arte-Alfa dado que no llegó a ser terminado). El autor afirmó que pensó poco en la realización del álbum al considerarlo "sólo un juego" y lo clasificó simplemente como "una transgresión" de su juventud". Por ello, Hergé siempre se opuso a su publicación, pero con el aumento de la producción de ediciones piratas vendidas entre tintinólogos, finalmente permitió una reedición oficial en 1973. (es)
- Tintin au pays des Soviets (titre complet sur la couverture : Les Aventures de Tintin, reporter du « Petit Vingtième », au pays des Soviets) est le premier album de la série de bande dessinée Les Aventures de Tintin, créée par Hergé, dessinateur belge. Alors responsable du Petit Vingtième, le supplément jeunesse du journal belge Le Vingtième Siècle, Hergé reçoit, de son rédacteur en chef l'abbé Norbert Wallez, commande d'une bande dessinée dont le héros ferait un reportage en Union des républiques socialistes soviétiques. L'abbé fournit à Hergé le pamphlet Moscou sans voiles, dont l'auteur s'inspire très fortement, ce qui fait de cette aventure une critique particulièrement virulente du régime communiste. Hergé considère cette œuvre comme une « erreur de jeunesse ». En effet, il fait preuve d'inconstance dans le caractère des personnages et dans le ton anticommuniste, mais il introduit néanmoins l'usage exclusif du dessin et des phylactères dans la bande dessinée européenne, comme Alain Saint-Ogan avant lui, et il montre un réel talent pour représenter le mouvement et le son. Outre la première apparition des célèbres personnages Tintin et Milou, plusieurs moments de l'album sont passés à la postérité, par exemple la scène de la manipulation des élections. Le héros échappe à des bolchéviques prêts à le tuer pour l'empêcher de révéler aux Occidentaux la réalité russe, incarnant un idéal de journalisme d'investigation courageux. L’histoire est prépubliée dans Le Petit Vingtième du 10 janvier 1929 au 8 mai 1930, puis paraît en album en septembre 1930. Elle est également publiée dans le magazine français Cœurs vaillants à partir d'octobre 1930. Rapidement introuvable en librairie et victime de la contrefaçon sur le marché noir, l'album n'est réédité par les éditions Casterman qu'en 1973, au sein des Archives Hergé. Jamais redessinée par les Studios Hergé, cette histoire reste dans son format original, en noir et blanc, jusqu'en 2017, quand les éditions Casterman et la société Moulinsart SA, chargée de l’exploitation commerciale de l’œuvre d’Hergé, en publient une version colorisée. Commissioned by the conservative Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle as anti-communist satire for its children's supplement Le Petit Vingtième, it was serialised weekly from January 1929 to May 1930 before being published in a collected volume by Éditions du Petit Vingtième in 1930. The story tells of young Belgian reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy, who are sent to the Soviet Union to report on the policies of Joseph Stalin's Bolshevik government. Tintin's intent to expose the regime's secrets prompts agents from the Soviet secret police, the OGPU, to hunt him down with the intent to kill. Bolstered by publicity stunts, Land of the Soviets was a commercial success in Belgium, and also witnessed serialisation in France and Switzerland. Hergé continued The Adventures of Tintin with Tintin in the Congo, and the series became a defining part of the Franco-Belgian comics tradition. Damage to the original plates prevented republication of the book for several decades, while Hergé later expressed embarrassment at the crudeness of the work. As he began to redraw his earlier Adventures in second, colour versions from 1942 onward, he decided against doing so for Land of the Soviets; it was the only completed Tintin story that Hergé did not reproduce in colour. Growing demand among fans of the series resulted in the production of unauthorised copies of the book in the 1960s, with the first officially sanctioned republication appearing in 1969, after which it was translated into several other languages, including English. Critical reception of the work has been largely negative, and several commentators on The Adventures of Tintin have described Land of the Soviets as one of Hergé's weakest works. (en)

La storia nasce come mezzo di propaganda anticomunista su richiesta del direttore del quotidiano ed Hergé si presta, in maniera quasi inconsapevole e senza conoscere direttamente la situazione che sarebbe andato a raccontare, basandosi principalmente sul romanzo Mosca senza veli di che dava una rappresentazione esasperata della realtà russa; Hergé dà così un ritratto del popolo sovietico coerente con lo stereotipo comune in quegli anni in Europa; successivamente, a seguito dell’esperienza maturata con questa prima storia, l’autore scriverà gli altri episodi soltanto dopo essersi documentato profondamente in prima persona.
