- Ο Αντιπρόεδρος του Πολυεθνικού Κράτους της Βολιβίας (ισπανικά: Vicepresidente del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia ) ή Αντιπρόεδρος της Βολιβίας είναι η δεύτερη υψηλότερη πολιτική θέση στη Βολιβία. Ο Αντιπρόεδρος αναπληρώνει τον Πρόεδρο αν ο πρόεδρος δεν μπορεί, σε μια δεδομένη στιγμή, να εκπληρώσει τα καθήκοντα του. Ο πρώτος αντιπρόεδρος της Βολιβίας ήταν ο , ο οποίος εξελέγη από τον Πρόεδρο και την συνέλευση το 1828. Το Σύνταγμα του 1839 αφαίρεσε τη θέση του Αντιπροέδρου, καθιστώντας τον Πρόεδρο της Γερουσίας το δεύτερο υψηλότερο πολιτικό πρόσωπο της χώρας. Ο Ιλαριόν Ντάσα επανέφερε το αξίωμα του αντιπροέδρου με νέο σύνταγμα το 1878, αλλά αντιπρόεδροι εξελέγησαν και πάλι από το 1880 και έπειτα. Το Σύνταγμα του 1880 περιείχε δύο Αντιπροέδρους. Εξελέγονταν με άμεση, λαϊκή ψήφο όπως και ο πρόεδρος αλλά με διαφορετικές εξουσίες: Ο Πρώτος Αντιπρόεδρος προέδρευε της Γερουσίας και είχε το δικαίωμα αντικατάστασης ή και διαδοχής του προέδρου, ενώ ο Δεύτερος Αντιπρόεδρος είχε μόνο την αρμοδιότητα αντικατάστασης ή διαδοχής του Προέδρου, σε περίπτωση απουσίας, παραίτησης, αδυναμίας εκτέλεσης καθήκοντος ή θανάτου του Πρώτου Αντιπροέδρου. Αυτή η διπλή αντιπροεδρία ήταν σε ισχύ μέχρι το 1921, όταν η Συνδιάσκεψη-Σύμβαση του 1921, που συγκλήθηκε από τον Μπαουτίστα Σααβέδρα, κατάργησε τη διπλή Αντιπροεδρία. Η αντισυνταγματική κυβέρνηση του Κάρλος Κιντανίγια τροποποίησε το Σύνταγμα καταργώντας τη θέση του Αντιπροέδρου, με απλό διάταγμα, κάνοντας πάλι τον Πρόεδρο της Γερουσίας δεύτερο υψηλότερο πολιτικό πρόσωπο της χώρας. Έτσι ο Ενρίκε Πενιαράνδα είχε εκλεγεί χωρίς Αντιπρόεδρο. Αυτό το σύστημα διατηρήθηκε μέχρι το 1945, όταν το Κογκρέσο όρισε τον Χουλιάν Μοντεγιάνο ως αντιπρόεδρο του Γκουαλμπέρτο Βιγιαροέλ. (el)
- El Vicepresidente del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia compone el órgano ejecutivo del poder público del Estado boliviano y es el primero en la línea de sucesión constitucional para reemplazar al Presidente del Estado, en caso de ausencia temporal o definitiva, renuncia, revocatoria del mandato, sentencia condenatoria ejecutoriada o muerte. El Vicepresidente del Estado preside la Asamblea Legislativa Plurinacional. El Vicepresidente, al igual que el Presidente del Estado, es electo por sufragio universal. Su mandato tiene una duración de cinco años con posibilidad de una única reelección. En caso de que ningún binomio presidencial alcance la mayoría absoluta, se recurrirá a una segunda vuelta electoral o balotaje. Cuatro vicepresidentes han asumido la presidencia de la nación por sucesión constitucional: Mamerto Urriolagoitia, Luis Adolfo Siles Salinas, Jorge Quiroga Ramírez y Carlos D. Mesa Gisbert. The vice president replaces the president in his definitive absence or others impediment and is the ex officio President of the Legislative Assembly. Thirty nine men have served as vice president of Bolivia since the office came into existence on 19 November 1826. José Ramón de Loayza was the first vice president of the Republic of Bolivia. The 38th vice president, Álvaro García Linera, was the last vice president of the Republic of Bolivia and the first vice president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The second and current vice president of the Plurnational State is David Choquehuanca (since 8 November 2020). There are currently five living former vice presidents. The most recent former vice president to die was Julio Garrett Ayllón on 19 March 2018. The vice president is the first person in the presidential line of succession and assumes the presidency if the president dies, resigns, or is impeached and removed from office. Four vice presidents have ascended to the presidency following the resignation of their predecessor (José Luis Tejada Sorzano, Mamerto Urriolagoitía, Jorge Qurioga, and Carlos Mesa). René Barrientos was the only vice president to assume the presidency by deposing his own predecessor, Víctor Paz Estenssoro. When Barrientos died suddenly on 27 April 1969, Luis Adolfo Siles Salinas became the only vice president to become president through their predecessor's death. Seven former vice presidents (Aniceto Arce, Mariano Baptista, Severo Fernández, Eliodoro Villazón, Hernán Siles Zuazo, René Barrientos, and Jaime Paz Zamora) were elected president in their own right while two (José Miguel de Velasco and Mariano Enrique Calvo) became president by other means.
