- قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 1356، المتخذ بالإجماع في 19 حزيران / يونيو 2001، بعد إعادة تأكيد القرارين 733 (1992) و751 (1992) بشأن الحالة في الصومال، أعفى المجلس المعدات العسكرية غير الفتاكة من حظر توريد الأسلحة إلى البلد. وأعرب مجلس الأمن عن رغبته في إحلال السلام والأمن في الصومال وأشاد بجهود منظمات الإغاثة الإنسانية والأمم المتحدة في البلاد. ودعا المجلس، عملا بالفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، جميع البلدان إلى الامتثال للقيود المفروضة على الصومال. وقرر أن الملابس الواقية مثل السترات الواقية من الرصاص والخوذات العسكرية التي يستخدمها موظفو الأمم المتحدة أو العاملون في المجال الإنساني أو وسائل الإعلام ستُعفى من العقوبات بالإضافة إلى المعدات العسكرية غير الفتاكة التي وافقت عليها اللجنة المنشأة بموجب القرار 751. - La Resolució 1356 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides fou adoptada per unanimitat el 19 de juny de 2001. Després de reafirmar les resolucions 733 (1992) i la 751 (1992) sobre la situació a Somàlia, el Consell va eximir l'equip militar no letal de l'embargament d'armes contra el país. El Consell de Seguretat va expressar el seu desig de pau i seguretat a Somàlia i va reconèixer els esforços realitzats per les organitzacions humanitàries i les Nacions Unides al país. Actuant sota el Capítol VII de la Carta de les Nacions Unides, el Consell va convidar a tots els països a complir amb les restriccions contra Somàlia. Va decidir que les robes protectores, com els cascos i les armilles militars per al seu ús pel personal de les Nacions Unides, humanitària o de mitjans, estarien exempts de les sancions, a més de l'equip militar no letal aprovat pel Comitè establert en la Resolució 751. - United Nations Security Council resolution 1356, adopted unanimously on 19 June 2001, after reaffirming resolutions 733 (1992) and 751 (1992) on the situation in Somalia, the council exempted non-lethal military equipment from the arms embargo against the country. The security council expressed its desire for peace and security in Somalia and recognised efforts by humanitarian relief organisations and the United Nations in the country. Acting under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the council called upon all countries to comply with restrictions against Somalia. It decided that protective clothing such as flak jackets and military helmets for use by United Nations, humanitarian or media personnel would be exempt from the sanctions in addition to non-lethal military equipment approved by the committee established in Resolution 751.
