- Terrence Joseph Sejnowski ist ein Neurowissenschaftler am Howard Hughes Medical Institute und seit 2004 Francis Crick Professor am Salk Institute for Biological Studies, wo er das Computational Neurobiology Laboratory leitet. Weiterhin ist er Professor of Biological Sciences und Adjunct Professor an der University of California, San Diego. Sejnowski studierte Physik an der Case Western Reserve University und der Princeton University und wurde 1978 zum Ph.D. an der Princeton University promoviert. 1982 wurde er Professor am Department of Biophysics der Johns Hopkins University, bevor er 1988 nach San Diego ging. Sejnowski ist Präsident der Neural Information Processing Systems Foundation, die jährlich die NIPS Conference veranstaltet. He has performed pioneering research in neural networks and computational neuroscience. Sejnowski is also Professor of Biological Sciences and adjunct professor in the departments of neurosciences, psychology, cognitive science, computer science and engineering at the University of California, San Diego, where he is co-director of the Institute for Neural Computation.
