- Tales from the Darkside (en español Historias del más allá, Más allá del miedo, Cuentos desde la oscuridad o Historias del lado oscuro) es una serie de televisión antológica de terror producida por George A. Romero. Con una duración de 30 minutos por episodio la serie originalmente fue transmitida en Estados Unidos entre 1983 y 1988. En cada episodio de la serie se narran historias extrañas que mezclan los géneros de horror, fantasía, ciencia ficción o suspense, entre otros, similar a series como The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, Galería Nocturna o The Outer Limits que, por lo general, se caracterizan por tener un final inesperado o impredecible. Each episode, aired originally by Tribune Broadcasting late at night, was an individual short story that often ended with a plot twist. The series' episodes spanned the genres of horror, science fiction, and fantasy, and some episodes featured elements of black comedy or more lighthearted themes. - Un salto nel buio (Tales from the Darkside), conosciuta anche col titolo Codice mistero, è una serie televisiva statunitense del 1984 ideata dal regista e sceneggiatore George A. Romero e composta da 90 episodi autoconclusivi di circa 20 minuti l'uno. La serie venne preceduta un episodio pilota, intitolato Il primo penny, trasmesso il 29 ottobre 1983. Gli episodi, generalmente a tematica horror o thriller, hanno soggetti firmati, tra gli altri, da autori quali Stephen King, Clive Barker, Michael McDowell, Michael Bishop, oltre che dallo stesso Romero. Tra i registi che si sono cimentati nel dirigere gli episodi si ricorda Jodie Foster alla sua prima regia, e fra i numerosi attori che hanno interpretato i diversi personaggi E.G. Marshall, Tippi Hedren, Christian Slater, Seth Green, Colleen Camp, Cab Calloway, Jean Marsh, Jerry Orbach, Victor Garber, Carolyn Seymour e Robert Forster.
