- Sly Cooper: Ladrones en el Tiempo (también conocido popularmente como Sly 4, Sly 4: Ladrones en el Tiempo, o Ladrones en el Tiempo en castellano, y como Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time en su norteamericano original), es el título en castellano del quinto videojuego de la saga Sly Cooper, la cuarta entrega de la historia de la misma, disponible para PlayStation 3 y PlayStation Vita desde el 5 de febrero de 2013 en Norteamérica y desde el 28 de marzo de 2013 en España y resto de países europeos. Un título destinado a un público infantil y juvenil que es principalmente un plataformas que incorpora elementos de sigilo. A pesar de que la serie se desarrolló originalmente por Sucker Punch Productions para PlayStation 2, este juego ha sido desarrollado por Sanzaru Games, compañía que adaptó los juegos originales a PlayStation 3, remasterizándolos en alta definición y publicándolos en el mismo juego bajo el título The Sly Trilogy, el que fuera el cuarto videojuego de la serie sin ser más que una recopilación. Sly 4 se anunció oficialmente en una presentación de Sony, el 6 de junio de 2011, aunque previamente en diversos videojuegos como Infamous 2 se habían dado indicios de su desarrollo, y en The Sly Trilogy se había introducido un breve tráiler desbloqueable. El juego, ambientado en un mundo similar al nuestro con la salvedad de estar poblado por animales antropomorfos, parte del final de Sly 3: Honor entre ladrones. Sly Cooper, un mapache descendiente de una familia de maestros del robo, necesitará reunir a su banda para recuperar el Latroius Mapáchibus (Thievius Raccoonus), un libro sobre la familia Cooper y sus dotes de ladrones que, misteriosamente, se borra por sí mismo sin motivo aparente. Dado que se presupone que la naturaleza de este borrado se debe a que alguien está elimininado literalmente la historia de la familia Cooper, los protagonistas se embarcan en un viaje a través del tiempo, a fin de restaurar la historia tal y como debió haber pasado.El jugador controla a Sly, Bentley, Murray, Carmelita Fox, y a los antecesores de Sly -Rioichi, Tennessee, "Bob", Sir Galleth y Salim- haciendo uso de los habilidades de robo y escalada en diferentes misiones con el fin de desvaratar los planes de los malvados que están intercediendo en la historia. Este juego forma parte de la iniciativa (o Compra en raya, Compra Cruzada) anunciada por Sony. Esto consiste en que cualquiera que compre la versión para PlayStation 3 recibirá un código para descargar gratuitamente el juego para PlayStation Vita (y viceversa), pudiéndose guardar una partida desde cualquier consola y continuarse con la otra. Though the original series was developed by Sucker Punch Productions for the PlayStation 2, this game was developed by Sanzaru Games, who had previously ported the original games into high-definition versions for the PlayStation 3. The game was teased in these versions, but it was not formally announced until several months later at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo during Sony's presentation on June 6, 2011. The game, set in a world populated by anthropomorphic animals, follows from the end of Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Sly Cooper, a raccoon from a long line of master thieves, will need to reunite with his gang to repair the Thievius Raccoonus, a book chronicling the Cooper family line whose pages have been affected by a villain traveling through time. The player controls Sly, Bentley, Murray, Carmelita Fox, and Sly's ancestors, using their skills to pull off heists and reveal who is putting the Cooper history in a jam. This game is also a part of Sony's cross-buy initiative, allowing purchasers of the PlayStation 3 version of the game to receive a free copy of the game for the PlayStation Vita via the PlayStation Network. The player can also save their game in the cloud, allowing them to play on one system and later continue playing on the other system. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was met with a generally positive critical reception upon release. It was well-received for its amount of content, graphics, writing, as well as the utilization of the Cross-Buy program. However, the return of the previous entries' stealth platform genre in the context of video games at the time, the sections for characters besides the titular protagonist, and the mini-games divided reviewers. Of wide condemnation were the loading screens, which were perceived as common and excessively long. (en)
