- El Círculo Memorial a Quezon es un parque nacional y santuario ubicado en la ciudad de Quezon, la antigua capital de las Filipinas (1948-1976). El parque es una elipse delimitada por una carretera elíptica. Su característica principal es un mausoleo con los restos de Manuel Luis Quezon y Molina, el segundo presidente de Filipinas, y su esposa, la primera dama Vd.ª de Quezon . Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, el presidente Sergio Osmeña emitió una orden ejecutiva que estipulaba la creación de un Comité para recaudar fondos para erigir un monumento a su predecesor, el presidente Quezon. Después de que un concurso nacional se llevó a cabo, el proyecto ganador fue el elaborado por el arquitecto filipino . - The Quezon Memorial Circle is a national park located in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The park is located inside a large traffic circle in the shape of an ellipse and bounded by the Elliptical Road and is the main park of Quezon City (which served as the official capital of the Philippines from 1948 to 1976). Its main feature is a 66-meter (217 ft) tall mausoleum containing the remains of Manuel L. Quezon, the second official President of the Philippines and the first of an internationally recognized independent Philippines, and his wife, First Lady Aurora Quezon. This location will be the street alignment for the approved Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 7 named Quezon Memorial MRT Station and the station will be underground. "Circle", as locals call it, has been undergoing significant changes in order to lure in more tourists both local and foreign. Due to these beautification efforts of the local government the number of visitors is continuously increasing. (en)
