- Pietro genannt Tempesta (Peter der Ungestüme, der Stürmische, * wohl 1292; † 29. August 1315 in der Schlacht bei Montecatini) war Graf von Eboli seit 1306. Er war der achte Sohn von Karl II., König von Neapel, und Maria von Ungarn. 1309 erhielt er Nocera und Isernia und tauschte Montescaglioso gegen Sorrent und Castellammare di Stabia. Er trat in den Dienst seines Bruders, des Königs Robert, in dessen Kampf in der Toskana gegen die Stauferpartei (Ghibellinen) und Uguccione della Faggiola, und war der Kommandeur von 300 Reitern. Pietro bekam den Titel eines Vikars von Toskana, Lombardei, Romagna und der Städte Bertinoro und Ferrara und wurde Generalkapitän der guelfischen Partei in der Toskana. Er verbrachte das Jubeljahr in Siena und ging anschließend nach Florenz, wo er bei der Familie Mozzi lebte. Die Stadt gewährte ihm ein Stipendium in Höhe von 4000 Florin. Am 29. Su sobrenombre proviene de su temperamento tormentoso. En 1309, recibió Nocera e Isernia y cambió Montescaglioso por Sorrento y Castellammare di Stabia. Comenzó a servir a su hermano, el rey Roberto, contra los gibelinos de Uguccione della Faggiola en Toscana. He was the eighth son of King Charles II of Naples and Mary of Hungary (see Elizabeth of Sicily). His alias name came from his stormy temperament. In 1309, he received Nocera and Isernia and exchanged Montescaglioso for Sorrento and Castellammare di Stabia. He began serving his brother, King Robert, against the Ghibellines of Uguccione della Faggiuola in Tuscany. He led 300 knights and was given the title of "Vicar of Tuscany, Lombardy, Romagna, the city of Bertinoro, and the city of Ferrara and Captain-General of the Guelph party of Tuscany". He celebrated a jubilee at Siena and then moved on to Florence, where he stayed with the Mozzi family and the commune granted him a stipend of 4,000 florins.
