Mirpur (Potwari: مِرپُر, romanized: mirpur; Urdu: مِيرپُور, romanized: mīrpūr), officially known as New Mirpur City (Urdu: شہر نیا مِیرپُر, romanized: shèhar nayā mīrpur), is the capital of Mirpur district located in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is the second largest city of Azad Kashmir and 74th largest city in Pakistan. The city itself has gone through a process of modernization, but most of the surrounding area relies on agriculture.
