- Luigi Agnolin (* 21. März 1943 in Bassano del Grappa; † 29. September 2018) war ein italienischer Fußballschiedsrichter. Neben 226 Einsätzen im italienischen Fußball in der Serie A leitete er auch internationale Pflicht- und Freundschaftsspiele, wie bei den Weltmeisterschaften 1986 und 1990. Darunter waren die Partien Jugoslawien – Kolumbien (1:0), UdSSR – Ungarn (6:0), Argentinien – Uruguay (1:0), in dem er insgesamt sieben gelbe Karten verteilte, und Frankreich – Deutschland (0:2). Als Konsequenz aus dem wurde Agnolin neuer (kommissarischer) Chef des italienischen Schiedsrichterverbandes AIA als Nachfolger des zurückgetretenen . Als erste Amtshandlung forderte er die Suspendierung von zehn in den Skandal verwickelten Schiedsrichtern und elf Linienrichtern. Er verfasste mit Hilfe von Rechtsexperten und einem Psychologen einen 35 Artikel umfassenden „ethischen Kodex“, der zukünftig von allen tätigen Fußballschiedsrichtern zu Beginn einer Saison unterzeichnet werden musste. In addition to his two World Cup tournaments, Agnolin also served as a referee in qualifiers for the World Cups of 1982, 1986, and 1990. He officiated in qualifying for Euro 1984. Agnolin is known to have worked as a FIFA referee during the period from 1980 to 1990. Agnolin was also a futsal referee, officiating at the 1989 FIFA Futsal World Championship in the Netherlands. Hij was actief op het WK in 1986, waar hij onder meer de halve finale floot tussen West-Duitsland en Frankrijk. Vier jaar later floot hij ook op het WK in Italië. Agnolin floot in 1987 de finale van de Europacup II tussen Ajax en Lokomotiv Leipzig. Een jaar later was hij de scheidsrechter bij de eindstrijd van de Europa Cup I tussen PSV en Benfica, die na een 0-0 eindstand (reguliere speeltijd plus verlenging) eindigde in een 6-5 strafschoppenoverwinning voor de ploeg uit Eindhoven. Agnolin stond van 1987 tot en met 1989 in de top drie in de lijst van beste scheidsrechters ter wereld, opgesteld door de internationale federatie voor voetbalgeschiedenis en -statistieken IFFHS.
