- HMS Melpomene was a Medea-class destroyer of the British Royal Navy. She was one of four destroyers, of similar design to the British M-class ordered by Greece in June 1914, which the British purchased during construction owing to the outbreak of the First World War. Medusa (originally named Samos) was launched by the Scottish shipbuilder Fairfield in February 1915 and was completed in August that year. She served with the Harwich Force in the North Sea and later with the Dover Patrol. She was sold for scrap in 1921. (en)
