- HMS Hostile byl britský torpédoborec třídy H, který sloužil u Royal Navy během druhé světové války. Stavba začala 27. února 1935 v loděnici Scott's Shipbuilding and Engineering v Greenock ve Skotsku. Na vodu byl spuštěn 24. ledna 1936 a do služby byl přijat 10. září 1936.

April 1940 am Ersten Seegefecht bei Narvik teil, in dem sie weitgehend unbeschädigt blieb. So konnte sie das schwer beschädigte Schwesterschiff Hotspur zu den Lofoten schleppen. Der seit Ende Mai 1940 wieder bei der „Mediterranean Fleet“ eingesetzte Zerstörer lief am 23. August 1940 bei einem Verlegungsmarsch von Alexandria nach Gibraltar auf 36° 53′ N, 11° 19′ O 18 Seemeilen südöstlich von Cape Bon auf eine Mine, die ihm den Kiel brach. During the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 the ship spent considerable time in Spanish waters, enforcing the arms blockade imposed by Britain and France on both sides of the conflict. She was transferred to Freetown, Sierra Leone, in October 1939 to hunt for German commerce raiders in the South Atlantic with Force K. Hostile participated in the First Battle of Narvik in April 1940 and the Battle of Calabria in July 1940. The ship was damaged by a mine off Cape Bon in the Strait of Sicily while on passage from Malta to Gibraltar on 23 August 1940. She was then scuttled by HMS Hero. (en)
