- كأس الخليج للأندية، هي بطولة خليجية تجمع بين أبطال الدوري في البطولات الخليجية، وقد تم استحداث نظام جديد للبطولة في موسم 2006/2007 حيث ارتفع عدد الفرق المشاركة في هذه البطولة من 6 فرق إلى 12 فريق وذلك بعد ادخال الفرق التي تفوز في بطولات الكأس في الخليج. (ar)
- Die GCC Champions League (Gulf Cooperation Council Champions League), bis 2010 bekannt unter der Bezeichnung Gulf Cup for Clubs, deutsch Golf-Vereinspokal, war ein seit 1982 mit wenigen Ausnahmen jährlich ausgetragener Fußballwettbewerb für Vereinsmannschaften der sechs arabischen Mitglieder des Golf-Kooperationsrats (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf oder Gulf Cooperation Council – GCC) – Bahrain, Katar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi-Arabien und den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten – der von der Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) organisiert wurde. Teilnahmeberechtigt waren die jeweils besten Mannschaften der nationalen Meisterschaft. Meist wurde in einer einfachen Ligarunde, zuletzt in Turnierform mit Gruppen- und K.-o.-Phase gespielt. Bis zur Einführung der AFC Champions League diente der Wettbewerb auch regelmäßig als Qualifikation für deren Vorläufer, den Asienpokal der Landesmeister bzw. den Arab Club Champions Cup. Verbunden mit einem festen Kontingent an Startplätzen für die AFC Champions League auch für einige der beteiligten Golfstaaten, nahm die Bedeutung des Wettbewerbs jedoch stark ab, so dass zuletzt nicht mehr alle bestplatzierten Teams der beteiligten Länder starteten. Nachdem eine Austragung in den Jahren 2016 und 2017 gänzlich gescheitert war, wurde der Wettbewerb eingestellt. Die GCC Champions League war das Pendant auf Klubebene zum Golfpokal für Nationalmannschaften, allerdings ohne Teilnehmer aus Irak und dem Jemen. (de)

The tournament was first organized in 1982 and was last played in 2015, the 31st edition. Attempts to play the 2016 and 2017 editions failed. It was organised by the Gulf Cooperation Council and open to clubs from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates Although having much popularity in its initial first decades, the tournament faced decline as the Asian Champions League and AFC Cup forced many Gulf clubs to be unable to participate in the competition.
