The Serpent's Curse was announced on 23 August 2012, along with a Kickstarter project; it was launched for the development of the game, which had been self-funded until the launch, to be completed. The game is presented in HD and returns to the series' 2D roots, with 3D characters pre-rendered and saved in 2D frames. The majority of the funding for the game was raised through Kickstarter, more than $771,000 of the requested $400,000 were raised, and together with PayPal donations, over $823,000. (en)

- Broken Sword 5: La maledizione del serpente è una avventura grafica di tipo punta e clicca, basata sulla serie di Broken Sword e sviluppata partendo come progetto sul sito di raccolta fondi Kickstarter. Raggiunta la somma richiesta (400.000 $), contribuita da 14.032 sostenitori, e abbondantemente superata (raccolti 771.560 $), si è dato inizio al progetto. Broken Sword 5 è sviluppato e distribuito interamente da Revolution Software, scritto e diretto da Charles Cecil e disponibile inizialmente per PC Windows e PlayStation Vita in download digitale da Steam, su GOG.com e in Get Games. La versione del videogioco è anche disponibile per sistemi iOS, uscita il 6 febbraio 2014, e Android, uscita il 15 marzo 2014. Dal 4 settembre 2015 è inoltre disponibile la versione per PlayStation 4 e Xbox One. Il gioco è distribuito con il parlato in tedesco, francese, inglese, italiano (non presente, però, nella versione per PlayStation Vita e PlayStation TV), spagnolo; i sottotitoli sono disponibili nelle stesse lingue e in russo. Claudio Beccari è il doppiatore di George, Francesca Perilli è la doppiatrice di Nicole. Il 17 aprile 2014 è uscita la seconda parte del videogioco per sistemi Windows, Mac OS e Linux, la quale comprende anche la prima parte dell'avventura e il doppiaggio in italiano (non aggiunto nelle versioni PlayStation Vita e PlayStation TV), spagnolo e i sottotitoli in russo. Nel gennaio 2015 in un'intervista a Digital Spy, Charles Cecil ha dichiarato un possibile seguito per la saga ma che ci vorrà ancora diverso tempo per svilupparlo, probabilmente l'uscita sarà nel 2019. - Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse – piąta odsłona serii komputerowych gier przygodowych Broken Sword. Gra została wydana przez studio Revolution Software 4 grudnia 2013. W przeciwieństwie do poprzednich części, gra została wydana bezpośrednio przez producenta, studio Revolution Software, a część projektu (400 000 $) sfinansowana została przez graczy, którzy za pomoc (księgowaną na serwisie Kickstarter) otrzymali różne upominki. Graficznie The Serpent's Curse stanowi kompromis między poprzednimi częściami serii, z których pierwszą i drugą wydano w 2D, a trzecią i czwartą – z grafiką trójwymiarową. Tym razem trójwymiarowe pozostały jedynie postacie (wykonane w technologii cel-shading), poruszające się na ręcznie malowanych tłach, podobnie jak miało to miejsce w innej serii gier przygodowych – . Gra została zdubbingowana w językach angielskim, francuskim, niemieckim, hiszpańskim i włoskim, natomiast kinowo zlokalizowane zostały wersje polska i rosyjska. Akcja gry toczy się w nieokreślonym czasie po zakończeniu części czwartej. George Stobbart (w tej roli ponownie Rolf Saxon) spotyka w paryskiej galerii sztuki swoją dawną dziewczynę, Nicole Collard, a chwilę potem są świadkami zuchwałej kradzieży, w wyniku której ginie mężczyzna, a także pozornie niewiele warty obraz.
