Anton Furst (born Anthony Francis Furst) was a distinguished production designer who won an Oscar for designing the Batmobile and the noirish nightmare version of Gotham City in Tim Burton's Batman . Born in London, Furst trained at the Royal College of Art, London, he gained high praise for his work on Neil Jordan's The Company of Wolves . He went on to create convincing Vietnam War settings, without leaving England, for Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, and in 1991 designed the themes for the Planet Hollywood restaurant in New York. His final credited film was Awakenings .

- Anthony Francis Furst (* 6. Mai 1944 in Großbritannien; † 24. November 1991 in Los Angeles) war ein US-amerikanischer Filmdesigner. Für seine Gestaltung des Films Batman von 1989 wurde Furst 1990 mit dem Oscar für das "beste Szenenbild" ausgezeichnet. Furst besuchte das Royal College of Art in London. Bevor er begann Setdesigns für Spielfilme zu kreieren, machte er sich durch die Einführung von dramatischen Laser- und anderen Lichteffekten unter anderem bei The Who einen Namen in der internationalen Musikszene.
