- GP2 Series v roce 2012 byla osmou sezónou závodní série GP2 Series. Začala v malajsijském Sepangu dne 24. března a skončila v Singapuru dne 23. září. V sezóně zvítězil italský závodník Davide Valsecchi před Brazilcem Luizem Razianem. (cs)
- The 2012 GP2 Series season was the forty-sixth season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also eighth season under the GP2 Series moniker and also the first season after merging with the GP2 Asia Series. The championship was expanded to include rounds in Malaysia, Bahrain and Singapore, in support of the 2012 Formula One season. The series adopted the points system used by Formula One for the feature race, with points awarded to the top ten drivers and twenty-five points on offer for victory. The points awarded in the sprint race were also changed, with the winner receiving fifteen points and top eight drivers receiving points. Further changes mean that drivers must use two compounds of tyres over a race weekend, as is the case in Formula One. The points awarded for pole position and the fastest lap of the race were doubled as well. The title was won by Italian Davide Valsecchi, driving for DAMS. After leading in the championship after winning sprint race in Silverstone, Luiz Razia ultimately got to second in the championship after score four victories. Esteban Gutierrez came third with 3 victories and finished just ahead of Max Chilton, who had 2 wins. (en)

- Het GP2-seizoen 2012 is het achtste GP2 seizoen. Het seizoen bestaat uit 24 races, verdeeld over 12 ronden. Regerend kampioen Romain Grosjean maakte de overstap naar het Formule 1 team van Lotus. Vanaf dit jaar wordt, net als in de GP3 Series, de puntentelling van de Formule 1 overgenomen. De punten in race 1 worden verdeeld onder de eerste tien finishers: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1, en de eerste acht finishers in race 2 krijgen ook punten: 15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. De poleposition op zaterdag en de snelste ronden zijn nu respectievelijk 4 en 2 punten waard. Davide Valsecchi van het team DAMS is kampioen geworden bij de coureurs nadat hij in de eerste race in Singapore als vierde eindigde, een positie voor zijn laatste concurrent Luiz Razia van Arden International. Сменилась очковая система и для спринта, теперь победитель получает 15 очков, а очки получают первая восьмерка пилотов. Очки за поул-позицию и за быстрый круг увеличились в 2 раза, то есть за поул-позицию пилот получает 4 очка, а за быстрый круг в гонке или в спринте — 2 очка. Также пилоты должны использовать два состава резины, как в Формуле-1. Титул выиграл пилот команды DAMS Давиде Вальсекки. (ru)
