- Ousmane Sonko (Thiès, 15 de julio de 1974) es un político y exinspector fiscal senegalés. Desde 2017 es diputado en la Asamblea Nacional de Senegal. En 2019 se presentó a las elecciones presidenciales siendo el candidato más joven en postularse. En febrero de 2021 fue acusado de violación por una joven. Tras la denuncia la Asamblea Nacional le retiró la inmunidad. A principios de marzo se dirigió a declarar ante el juez con numerosos seguidores y fue detenido el 3 de marzo. Numerosas manifestaciones de protesta por su detención provocaron en los siguientes días al menos 5 muertos. Fue liberado el 8 de marzo sin embargo el proceso continúa. - Ousmane Sonko, né le 15 juillet 1974 à Thiès, est un homme politique sénégalais, ancien député à l'Assemblée nationale et maire de la ville de Ziguinchor. Il est le président du parti Patriotes du Sénégal pour le travail, l'éthique et la fraternité (PASTEF). Il est candidat à l'élection présidentielle de 2019 sous la bannière de la coalition « Sonko Président » et arrive troisième à cette élection avec 15% des voix derrière un autre candidat Idrissa Seck et derrière le président sortant Macky Sall. Il est accusé en février 2021 de viols et menaces de mort avec une arme par une employée d'un salon de beauté qu'il fréquente, ce qu'il dénonce comme une « tentative de liquidation politique » menée par le camp présidentiel . Son arrestation provoque de violents affrontements entre ses soutiens et la police lors d'importantes manifestations. Il est inculpé puis relâché sous contrôle judiciaire. (fr)
