- Le Parti de l'Unité et du Rassemblement (PUR) est un parti politique sénégalais, fondé le 03 février 1998 par Cheikh Mouhamadou Moustapha Sy, chef religieux et guide des Moustarchidines, une branche rigoriste de la confrérie des Tidianes du Sénégal. Les couleurs du parti sont le vert et le blanc, son symbole est représenté par deux colombes se faisant face . En 2000 le fondateur du parti dépose sa candidature pour les élections présidentielles mais fini par la retirer. De 2000 à 2017 le PUR n'est plus aussi présent sur la scène politique sénégalaise et reste méconnu de beaucoup. Lors des élections législatives de 2017, le PUR arrive à obtenir trois sièges à l'assemblée nationale. (fr)

The party was founded in 1998 and is led by Cheikh Mouhamadou Moustapha Sy. The party won three seats at the 2017 parliamentary election. In September 2021 it joined Ousmane Sonko's Liberate the People alliance. During the following year the coalition contested first the 2022 local elections, winning in several major cities including Dakar, and later the 2022 national election, gaining 56 seats and becoming the second biggest coalition in the National Assembly. Its colours are green and white; its symbol is two doves facing each other. (en)
