- Das NHL Heritage Classic (aktuelle Sponsorenbezeichnung Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic) ist ein bisher viermal ausgetragenes Freiluft-Eishockeyspiel der National Hockey League. Bei den Spielen handelt es sich um reguläre Saisonpartien, die überwiegend zwischen kanadischen Mannschaften an ausgewählten Orten und mit an die Witterungsverhältnisse angepassten Regeln ausgetragen wurden. - The NHL Heritage Classic (French: La Classique Héritage de la LNH) is one of the series of regular season outdoor games played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Unlike the NHL's other two series of outdoor games, the NHL Winter Classic and the NHL Stadium Series, the Heritage Classic has been held infrequently: only six games have been played in the series so far, and the first five match-ups had been exclusively between Canadian teams. The inaugural Heritage Classic, hosted by Edmonton at Commonwealth Stadium in 2003, was the first outdoor regular season game in NHL history and its success served as the precursor to outdoor hockey games played around the world. The second Heritage Classic, played at McMahon Stadium in Calgary in 2011, set sponsorship and revenue records. The third Heritage Classic was hosted in Vancouver's BC Place stadium in 2014. The fourth game was hosted by Winnipeg at Investors Group Field, now known as IG Field, in October 2016. The fifth game was held on October 26, 2019, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. The sixth Heritage Classic for 2022 was played at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. The Toronto Maple Leafs made their first Heritage Classic appearance (they were the only Canadian team who had yet to play in a Heritage Classic, although they had appeared in a Winter Classic, the Centennial Classic and in one Stadium Series game), and played against the Buffalo Sabres, the first U.S. team in a Heritage Classic. - L'NHL Heritage Classic è una serie di partite di hockey su ghiaccio disputate all'aperto organizzata dalla National Hockey League. Al 2014 si sono organizzate tre partite, l'ultima delle quali a Vancouver, mentre una quarta si disputerà a Winnipeg forse nel 2016. Gli incontri prevedono la partecipazione di sole franchigie canadesi, contrapponendosi così all'evento analogo che vede invece soprattutto la presenza di squadre statunitensi, il Winter Classic. Il primo Heritage Classic si disputò ad Edmonton presso il Commonwealth Stadium nel 2003, e fu la prima gara ufficiale valida per la stagione regolare nella storia della NHL. Questa prima partita fu la capostipite di una serie di incontri che negli anni successivi si svolsero non solo in Nordamerica ma anche in Europa. Il secondo Heritage Classic giocato a Calgary nel 2011 segnò un nuovo primato di sponsorizzazioni e profitti, portando la NHL a considerare la possibilità di aumentare il numero di partite all'aperto.
