- Les Autochtones du Québec constituent l’ensemble des peuples établis sur le territoire du Québec préalablement à la colonisation française de l'Amérique. Ils comprennent les Anishinabeg (Algonquins), les Atikamekw Nehirowisiwok (Attikameks), les Eeyou et Eenou (Cris) les Hurons-Wendats, les Innus, les Inuits, les Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawks), les Mi'gmaq, les Naskapis, les W8banakiak (Abénaquis) et les Wolastoqiyik (Malécites). Ces onze nations autochtones sont réparties sur l'ensemble du territoire québécois au sein de 55 communautés. (fr)
- Québecs ursprungsbefolkning består av 71 415 indianer (amerinder) och inuiter (1 % av Québecs befolkning). I Kanada har emellertid termen "indianer" allt mer övergivits och ersatts av First Nations. Denna term syftar dels på de så kallade indianreservat som en stor del av ursprungsbefolkningen lever i, men används också av ursprungsbefolkningen själva, som gärna presenterar sig med namn och tillägget "First Nation".
