- Ο Πρόεδρος της Βουλής των Ελλήνων είναι το τρίτο ανώτερο πολιτειακό αξίωμα της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας μετά τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και τον Πρόεδρο της Κυβέρνησης. Εκλέγεται από τη Βουλή των Ελλήνων και διευθύνει τις εργασίες του Σώματος. Εκπροσωπεί τη Βουλή σε διεθνείς κοινοβουλευτικούς οργανισμούς και στις διμερείς διακοινοβουλευτικές συναντήσεις και προΐσταται των υπηρεσιών της Βουλής και συντονίζει τις δραστηριότητές τους. Ο Γενικός Γραμματέας της Βουλής και ο Ειδικός Γραμματέας αποτελούν τους άμεσους συνεργάτες του Προέδρου και τον υποστηρίζουν στην εποπτεία των υπηρεσιών του Κοινοβουλίου. Following is a list of speakers of the Hellenic Parliament or other national legislative bodies such as the Greek Senate, from the time of the Greek War of Independence till present. The official order of precedence ranks the speaker of the Hellenic Parliament in the 3rd position, after the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.
