The Yaudheya Republic reformed and flourished up to the middle to the 4th century when it was ultimately conquered by Samudragupta and incorporated into the Gupta Empire until being disestablished. The modern caste of Barnwal derive their ancestry from the Yaudheyas and King Ahibaran is still remembered as the aadi-parvartak (ancient founder) of Yaudheya gana. (en)
