- William Zorach, nascut Zorach Gorfinkel (28 de febrer de 1887-15 de novembre de 1966) va ser un escultor, pintor, impressor i escriptor lituà-nord-americà guanyador de la (Logan Medal of the arts). Va emigrar amb la seva família als Estats Units l'any 1893 i es van establir a Cleveland (Ohio) sota el nom de Finkelstein; i un mestre de l'escola va canviar el seu primer nom a William. Tornò in Europa per stabilirsi temporaneamente a Parigi dove fu influenzato pittoricamente dallo stile fauve e dal Cubismo. Nel 1910 espose al Salon d'Automne. Tornato in America, dapprima utilizzò uno stile avanguardistico per le sue sculture e le sue litografie. Dagli anni Venti in poi fu principalmente uno scultore su pietra, realizzando ad esempio un rilievo architettonico per il di New York durante gli anni Cinquanta, con uno stile legato a canoni arcaici.
