- قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة القرار رقم 833، الذي اعتمد بالإجماع في 27 مايو 1993، بعد التذكير بالقرارات 687 (1991)، و689 (1991)، و773 (1992) و806 (1993) بالإضافة إلى تقرير من الأمين العام بطرس بطرس غالي، لاحظ المجلس استمرار عمل لجنة الأمم المتحدة لتخطيط الحدود بين العراق والكويت. وذكر القرار بأن لجنة الأمم المتحدة لتخطيط الحدود بين العراق الكويت لم تقم بإعادة توزيع الأراضي، ولكن للمرة الأولى وضع تحديد دقيق لإحداثيات الحدود بين الكويت والعراق على أساس الاتفاق المبرم بين البلدين في عام 1963. وإذ يذكر العراق بالتزاماته بموجب القرار 687 الذي يشكل الأساس لوقف إطلاق النار. كما رحب المجلس بقرار الأمين العام الذي يتطلب من بعثة الأمم المتحدة للمراقبة في العراق والكويت وضع اللمسات الأخيرة على حدود المنطقة المنزوعة السلاح التي خططتها اللجنة. إذ يتصرف بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، رحب مجلس الأمن، وأعرب عن تقديره باختتام أعمال لجنة تخطيط الحدود. كما أعاد التأكيد على أن قرارات لجنة الحدود نهائية، وطالب بأن يحترم العراق والكويت حرمة الحدود الدولية. - La Resolució 833 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides fou adoptada per unanimitat el 27 de maig de 1993. Després de recordar les resolucions 687 (1991), 689 (1991), 773 (1992) i 806 (1993), a més d'un informe del Secretari General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, el Consell va assenyalar el treball continuat de la Comissió de les Nacions Unides de Demarcació de Fronteres entre Iraq i Kuwait. La resolució recordava que la Comissió de les Nacions Unides de Demarcació de Fronteres entre Iraq i Kuwait no havia reassignat territori, però per primera vegada marcava les coordenades precises de la frontera entre Kuwait i l'Iraq sobre la base de l'acord entre els dos països en 1963. Se li va recordar a Iraq les seves obligacions sota la resolució 687 que va formar la base de l'alto el foc. El Consell també va acollir amb satisfacció la decisió del secretari general que exigia a la (UNIKOM) que finalitzés la frontera de la zona desmilitaritzada demarcada per la comissió Actuant en virtut del Capítol VII de la Carta de les Nacions Unides, el Consell de Seguretat va donar la benvinguda i va agrair la tasca de la Comissió de Demarcació de la Frontera en la seva terminació. També va reafirmar que les decisions de la comissió de les fronteres havia acabat i que Iraq i Kuwait respectarien la inviolabilitat de les fronteres internacionals. (ca)

- United Nations Security Council resolution 833, adopted unanimously on 27 May 1993, after recalling resolutions 687 (1991), 689 (1991), 773 (1992) and 806 (1993) in addition to a report by the Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, the council noted the continuing work of the United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Boundary Demarcation Commission. The resolution recalled that the United Nations Iraq–Kuwait Boundary Demarcation Commission was not to reallocate territory, but for the first time mark the precise coordinates of the border between Kuwait and Iraq on the basis of the agreement between the two countries in 1963. Iraq was reminded of its obligations under Resolution 687 which formed the basis of the ceasefire. The council also welcomed the secretary-general's decision requiring the United Nations Iraq–Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM) to finalise the boundary of the demilitarised zone demarcated by the commission. Acting under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the security council welcomed and appreciated the work of the Boundary Demarcation Commission on its completion. It also reaffirmed that the decisions of the commission on the boundary were final and demanded that Iraq and Kuwait respect the inviolability of international borders. (en)
