- El caballero Hector de Sainte-Hermine, es la última novela de la trilogía napoleónica, luego de Los blancos y los azules y Los compañeros de jehú; también última novela escrita por Alejandro Dumas padre entre 1869 hasta su muerte en 1870. Esta novela fue publicada como una serie en Le Moniteur Universal y nunca fue publicada como libro. En microfichas de ese diario, fue descubierta por Claude Schopp, conocido bibliógrafo y especialista en Dumas en 1988. Y luego de un esmerado y prolongado proceso de revisión por Schopp, que incluyó la redacción del final inconcluso de la novela, fue publicada por primera vez en junio del 2005 por la Editorial Phebus de Francia (es)
- Le Chevalier de Sainte-Hermine est un roman historique inachevé d'Alexandre Dumas, publié en feuilleton en 1869 et en volume en 2005. Tenu pour sa dernière œuvre majeure, le roman est resté considéré comme perdu jusqu'à la fin du XXe siècle. Claude Schopp, un spécialiste de l'écrivain, en a retrouvé une édition quasi complète parue en feuilleton. D'autres œuvres de Dumas ont ainsi été redécouvertes après avoir été oubliées, mais ce roman de 900 pages en est la plus longue et la plus accomplie. L'œuvre est un roman de cape et d'épée dont l'intrigue se situe au cours de l'ascension du Premier Empire français. L'une des scènes-clés montre la bataille de Trafalgar et la mort de l'amiral britannique Horatio Nelson. Le roman a été traduit en plusieurs langues. (fr)
- The Knight of Sainte-Hermine (published in France in 2005 under the title Le Chevalier de Sainte-Hermine, and translated to English under the title The Last Cavalier) is an unfinished historical novel by Alexandre Dumas, believed to be Dumas' last major work. The novel was lost until the late twentieth century. Dumas scholar found an almost-complete copy in the form of a newspaper serial. A number of Dumas' previously forgotten works have been found, but this novel is the largest and most complete at 900 pages. The novel is a swashbuckling tale set during the rise of the Napoleonic Empire. A key scene features the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of British admiral Horatio Nelson. It was translated into English and published in 2007 as The Last Cavalier, and has since been translated into other languages. (en)
