- Die Thai Premier League 2009 ist ein Wettkampf des thailändischen Fußballs, der innerhalb der Thai Premier League (Thai: ไทยแลนด์พรีเมียร์ลีก, kurz: TPL, auch Thai League, Thai: ไทยลีก genannt) in der Saison 2009 ausgetragen wurde. Die Saison 2009 wurde mit 16 Mannschaften ausgetragen. Der erste Spieltag fand am 7. März 2009 statt. Der Meister qualifiziert sich für die AFC Champions League Play-Offs und der Pokalsieger für den AFC Cup. Seit 2001 wird erstmals wieder ein Nationaler Verbandspokal ausgetragen. Die letzten drei Plätze in der Liga bedeuten den Abstieg in die Thailand Division 1 League. Folgende Mannschaften kamen als Aufsteiger aus der Thailand Division 1 League hinzu: FC Sriracha, Muang Thong United, FC Rajnavy Rayong. Muang Thong wurde als Aufsteiger, bereits vor der Saison als Meisterschaftskandidat gehandelt. Mit dem Gewinn der Meisterschaft 2009 konnte er dies auch bestätigen. Der Verein konnte bereits 2007 die 3. Liga, und 2008 die 2. Liga gewinnen. (de)

- The Thai Premier League 2009 was the thirteenth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 16 teams competed in the league, with PEA FC as the defending champions. Muang Thong United took the league championship with two games remaining, the first ever team to win the championship in their debut appearance in the top flight. Nakhon Pathom, Sriracha and Chula United were relegated to the 1st Division. (en)
- La saison 2009 du Championnat de Thaïlande de football est la 13e édition du championnat de première division en Thaïlande. Les seize meilleurs clubs du pays sont regroupés au sein d'une poule unique, la Thai Premier League, où ils s'affrontent deux fois au cours de la saison, à domicile et à l'extérieur. En fin de saison, les trois derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les trois meilleurs clubs de Division One, la deuxième division thaïlandaise. Pour la première fois dans l'histoire du championnat, un club promu de Division One remporte le titre pour sa première saison au sein de l'élite. C'est en effet le Muangthong United qui remporte le championnat, avec trois points d'avance sur Chonburi FC et neuf sur Bangkok Glass FC. C'est le tout premier titre de champion de Thaïlande de l'histoire du club. Avant le début de la saison, le Krung Thai Bank Football Club disparaît et vend sa licence en première division au club de Bangkok Glass FC. Le vainqueur du championnat obtient son billet pour le tour préliminaire de la Ligue des champions de l'AFC suivante. En cas d'échec lors de ce tour, il est reversé en Coupe de l'AFC, rejoignant ainsi le vainqueur de la Coupe de Thaïlande, également qualifié pour cette compétition. (fr)
