- La Kor Royal Cup (tailandès ถ้วยพระราชทาน ก.; ถ้วย ก.) o en el seu antic nom Yai Cup (tailandès ถ้วยใหญ่) (canvià de nom l'any 1963) fou la màxima competició futbolística de Tailàndia entre els anys 1916 i 1995. L'any 1996, es creà la Thai Premier League professional, esdevenint la màxima competició del país. - Der Kor Royal Cup (offiziell thailändisch ฟุตบอลถ้วยพระราชทาน, RTGS Futbon Thuai Phraratchathan, „königlich verliehener Fußballpokal“; kurz ถ้วย ก Thuai Ko; ‚ก‘ (kor) ist der erste Buchstabe des thailändischen Alphabets, entspricht also „A-Pokal“) war die Trophäe der höchsten Thailändischen Fußballliga. Bis 1963 trug er den Namen Yai Cup (ถ้วยใหญ่ Thuai Yai, übersetzt „großer Pokal“).Er wurde von der Football Association of Thailand begründet und zum ersten Mal im Jahre 1906 ausgespielt.Erster Gewinner des Pokals war das Department of Performing Arts. 1996 ersetzte die neu gegründete Thailand Premier League den Kor Royal Cup. Die FAT setzte von da an Kor Royal Cup als Super Cup der Thailand Premier League ein. Dabei spielen der Meister gegen den zweitplatzierten der abgelaufenen Saison um den Cup. Neben dem „großen“ oder „A-Pokal“ gibt es noch einen weiteren, königlich verliehenen Pokal, den Khǒr Royal Cup (thailändisch ถ้วยพระราชทาน ข, RTGS Thuai Phraratchathan Kho; ‚ข‘ (khǒr) ist der zweite Buchstabe des thailändischen Alphabets, entspricht also einem „B-Pokal“), ehemals Thuai Noi (ถ้วยน้อย, „kleiner Pokal“). Desde 1996 la Copa Kor Royal pasó a ser un partido anual disputado entre el equipo campeón y el subcampeón de la Liga de Tailandia, esta modalidad se utilizó hasta el año 2009. En 2010, el trofeo pasó a ser la Supercopa de Tailandia, partido anual entre el campeón de la Liga de Tailandia y el vencedor de la Copa FA de Tailandia. It was founded by the Football Association of Thailand in 1916. Department of Performing Arts was the first team that won this competition. In 1996, Thai League 1 was formed by the Football Association of Thailand to act as the top professional football league in place of Kor Royal cup. For this Reason, Kor Royal Cup has been adapted to be the trophy contested annually between the champions and the runners-up of Thai Premier League up to 2009. Since 2010, the trophy has been changed to be annual super cup competitions at the beginning of each season between Thai League 1 champions and Thai FA Cup champions. From 2017 onward, the national Super cup competition between the champions of Thai League 1 and the those of Thai FA Cup has become Thailand Champions Cup. Since 2016, After Somyot Poompanmoung won the election and became the president of the Football Association in February 2016, the new Association decided to promote the Kor Royal Cup trophy from the Super cup to be the reward of the Thai League 1 champions. The Kor Royal Cup has returned as the top level trophy again since it was the highest level of club football competition which competed in the tournament in Thailand from 1916–1995, But in the end of season he decide not to used this trophy for the reward of the Thai League 1 champions.
