- Stanko Subotic (né à Kalinovac (Ub), le 9 septembre, 1959) est un homme d’affaires suisse, d’origine serbe, propriétaire de la holding luxembourgeoise “EMI Group” (Emerging Marketing Investments APS) et de la holding française “Louis Max” qui, entre autres, produit un vin de marque connue. De nationalité serbe, il a obtenu le permis de séjours permanent en Suisse en 1997. Lors de la cérémonie spéciale qui s’est tenue à l’hôtel de ville de Genève, fin 2014, le passeport suisse lui a été officiellement remis, en tant que confirmation officielle de l‘obtention de la nationalité de ce pays. Il est marié à son épouse Jagoda, avec laquelle il a une fille Mia. Il parle le serbe et le français. Il est devenu connu du grand public comme étant un ami proche du Premier ministre serbe assassiné, Zoran Djindjic, et comme une personne qui soutenait activement l'opposition démocratique en Serbie sous le régime de Slobodan Milosevic, ainsi que les réformes pro-européennes mises en œuvre par le gouvernement Djindjic. Pour avoir aidé l'opposition démocratique serbe, il est devenu la cible de la persécution du régime de Milosevic et, en 1997, il a dû quitter la Serbie. Après le changement du régime politique du 5 octobre et l’assassinat du Premier ministre démocratique de Serbie, Zoran Djindjic, sous le régime de ses opposants politiques, Vojislav Kostunica et Boris Tadic, les autorités serbes ont lancé un procès à caractère politique contre Subotic, accusé d'abus de pouvoir dans une entreprise privée. Malgré l’acharnement médiatique et les pressions politiques importantes exercées sur le pouvoir judiciaire, ce procès s'est achevé fin 2015 par un acquittement final devant la Cour d'appel de Belgrade. - Stanko Subotić (Serbian Cyrillic: Станко Суботић; born 9 September 1959) is a Serbian businessman and the founder and owner of the Luxembourg-based holding company EMI Group (Emerging Marketing Investments APS) which owns Moj Kiosk Group and the French holding company Louis Max. To the public, Subotić was known as a close friend of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić and an active supporter of the democratic opposition in Serbia while Slobodan Milošević was still in power. For this, he had faced oppression by the Milošević regime and decided to leave Serbia in 1997. Later, he supported pro-European reforms steered by the Đinđić government. In 2003, after the assassination of Zoran Đinđić, and during the rule of his political opponents Vojislav Koštunica and Boris Tadić, the government administration set in motion a politically motivated process against Subotić, indicting him for alleged abuse of office. In spite of a strong media campaign against him, he was acquitted of all charges at the end of 2015 by the Court of Appellation in Belgrade. (en)

Al pubblico è diventato noto come un amico intimo dell’assassinato primo ministro serbo Zoran Đinđic e la persona che ha aiutato attivamente l'opposizione democratica in Serbia durante il governo del regime di Slobodan Milošević e le riforme pro-europeee svolte dal governo di Đinđic. Perché aiutava all'opposizione democratica serba, si trovò al bersaglio della persecuzione del regime di Milosevic, che è il motivo per cui nel 1997 ha dovuto lasciare la Serbia. Dopo i cambiamenti di ottobre e l'assassinio del primo ministro democratico serbo, Zoran Đinđić, durante il regno dei suoi avversari politici Vojislav Koštunica e Boris Tadić, le autorità serbe hanno lanciato contro Subotić il processo politicamente motivato per il presunto abuso della sua posizione 'ufficiale in una società privata. Nonostante il linciaggio dei media e la grande pressione politica sul sistema giudiziario, il processo è completato alla fine del 2015 con l'assoluzione finale davanti alla Corte d'appello di Belgrado.
