- سقد هو مصطلح مصري قديم لوصف وقياس مدى انحدار أوجه هرم رباعي قائم بالنسبة إلى مستوى القاعدة الأفقية للهرم، حيث يعد مصطلح سقد هو المقابل المصري القديم لمصطلح الميل المعاصر. ويعتمد السقد على وحدة قياس الذراع الملكية (52.5 سم) ، والتي بدورها تنقسم إلى سبع وحدات كف (7.5 سم) وأيضاً تنقسم وحدة الكف المصرية إلى أربع وحدات إصبع (1.875 سم) ومنها يمكن وصف السقد على أنه مقدار الزيادة في عدد وحدات الكف والإصبع على المدى إلى عدد وحدات الذراع على الارتفاع. يتناسب السقد عكسياً مع المَيْل أي أنه يتناسب طردياً مع ظل تمام زاوية الارتفاع بالنسبة للمستوى الأفقي ، منها يمكن استخلاص العلاقة التالية بين الميل والسقد: (ar)
- El seked (o seqed) fue una antigua unidad de medida egipcia usada para medir la inclinación de las caras triangulares de una pirámide recta. Se utilizó la medida de longitud egipcia conocida como «codo real» (meh). Dicho codo real se subdividía en siete «palmos» (shesep), y cada palmo se divide en cuatro «dedos» (yeba). Por lo tanto, se expresó la inclinación de las pendientes medida como el número de palmos y dedos horizontales por cada codo real vertical. - Seked (or seqed) is an ancient Egyptian term describing the inclination of the triangular faces of a right pyramid. The system was based on the Egyptians' length measure known as the royal cubit. It was subdivided into seven palms, each of which was sub-divided into four digits. The inclination of measured slopes was therefore expressed as the number of horizontal palms and digits relative to each royal cubit rise. The seked is proportional to the reciprocal of our modern measure of slope or gradient, and to the cotangent of the angle of elevation.
