- Recent Songs és el setè àlbum, sisè d'estudi, del cantautor canadenc Leonard Cohen aparegut el 1979. Va ser produït per i per Cohen mateix, va suposar un retorn a l'acústica folk després de l'experiència de Phil Spector i el disc Death of a Ladies' Man, tot i que va incorporar sonoritats jazz i orientals. En aquest àlbum hi va col·laborar el violinista gitano , l'armeni que toca el llaüt i un grup mariatxi mexicà. També s'hi pot trobar Jennifer Warnes, col·laboradora habitual de Cohen. Els membres del grup que Cohen que va retrobar gràcies a Joni Mitchell que col·laboren en quatre cançons. També van acompanyar Cohen durant la gira del 1979. Mitchell va presentar també a Cohen l'ingenier de so Henry Lewy, que va produir el disc. del grup també és present en una de les cançons. (ca)

- Recent Songs es el sexto álbum de Leonard Cohen, lanzado en 1979. Fue producido por Henry Lewy y el propio Cohen, después de la nefasta experiencia con Phil Spector, y supone una vuelta a la acústica folk habitual en sus álbumes. Colaboraron en este disco el violinista gitano Raffi Hakopian, el armenio John Bilezikjian (que toca el laúd), y un grupo mariachi mexicano. También aparece Jennifer Warnes, colaboradora habitual de Cohen. Por otro lado, aparecen los miembros de la banda Passenger, que Cohen conoció gracias a Joni Mitchell, y que después acompañaron en directo a Cohen, en la gira recogida en el álbum Field Commander Cohen: Tour of 1979. Por último, participa Garth Hudson, de The Band. Todas las canciones son de Cohen, excepto "Came so far for beauty" (Cohen/Lissauer) y "Un Canadien Errant" (M.A. Gerin/Lajoie), canción que es interpretada en francés. (es)
