- Ως αντιμεταχώρηση ή ποσοτική αντιμετάθεση ορίζεται ο φωνητικός νόμος της αρχαίας ιωνικής και αττικής διαλέκτου, σύμφωνα με τον οποίο κατά τη συνάντηση δύο ετεροσύλλαβων φωνηέντων παρατηρείται αμοιβαία αλλαγή τής ποσότητάς τους, δηλ. τροπή τού μακρού φωνήεντος σε βραχύ και του βραχέος φωνήεντος σε μακρό (π.χ. πόλεως < πόληος, βασιλέως < βασιλῆος, μετέωρος < μετήορος κτλ.). Η συγκεκριμένη μεταβολή ήταν ήδη γνωστή στους γραμματικούς τής ελληνιστικής εποχής ως υπερβιβασμός (χρόνου), αν και με τον όρο αυτόν δήλωναν γενικότερα κάθε είδους μετάθεση φθόγγων και όχι μόνο τη μετάθεση ποσότητας, για την οποία άλλωστε είχαν ατελή κατανόηση.
