- Tolar (německy Thaler) byla měna v Prusku platící do roku 1857. V roce 1750 se začal pruský tolar odlišovat od , když obsahoval 1/14 kolínské marky (233,856 g) stříbra místo běžné 1/12. Tuto změnu zavedl Philipp Graumann a systém 14 tolarů k marce byl znám jako „Graumannscher Fuß“. Do roku 1821 byl pruský tolar dělen v Braniborsku na 24 grošů, každý groš pak dále na 12 feniků. Ve vlastním Prusku byl tolar členěn na 3 polské zlaté, ty pak na 30 grošů (1 groš = 18 feniků) či 90 šilinků každý. V roce 1821 byla měna na území Pruska sjednocena, tolar nyní čítal 30 stříbrných grošů, groš měl 12 feniků. V roce 1857 nahradil pruský tolar nový , který se brzy stal standardem ve většině Německa. Το 1750 ο εφάρμοσε τον Κανόνα τού Γκράουμαν (Graumannscher Fuß) με 14 τάλερ ισότιμα με ένα μάρκο Κολωνίας από καθαρό ασήμι, ή 16.704 γραμ. ανά τάληρο. Μέχρι το 1821 το τάλερ υποδιαιρέθηκε στο Βραδεμβούργο σε 24 γκρόσεν (groschen), το καθένα από 12 πφένικ. Στην ίδια την Πρωσία υποδιαιρέθηκε σε 3 πολωνικά γκούλντεν = FL = ζλότυ, καθένα από 30 γκρόσεν (κάθε γκρόσεν = 18 πφένικε) ή 90 σελίνια. Το νόμισμα της Πρωσίας ενοποιήθηκε το 1821, με το τάλερ να υποδιαιρείται σε 30 αργυρά γκρόσεν (silbergroschen), με καθένα από 12 πφένικε. Ενώ το κυρίαρχο , που χρησιμοποιήθηκε σε άλλα κρατίδια της Βόρειας Γερμανίας από το 1750 έως το 1840, εκδόθηκε 131⁄3 τάληρα προς ένα μάρκο και εμφανίστηκε σε ονομαστικές αξίες των 2⁄3 και 11⁄3 τάλερ, το Πρωσικό τάληρο εκδόθηκε 14 τάληρα προς ένα μάρκο και εμφανιζόταν με ονομαστική αξία 1 τάλερ. Από τη δεκαετία του 1840 πολλά κράτη όρισαν την αξία του σε ισοτιμία με το Πρωσικό τάλερ, επίσης 14 τάλερ σε ένα Μάρκο. In 1750 Johann Philipp Graumann implemented the Graumannscher Fuß with 14 thalers issued to a Cologne Mark of fine silver, or 16.704 g per thaler. Gold coins were called as Fredrickd'or from 1750 to 1857 except for 1797 (Ducant in 1797), and silver coins were called as Thalers. The weight, and finesse of coins had changed as the kings changed. Until 1821, the thaler was subdivided in Brandenburg into 24 Groschen, each of 12 Pfennige. In Prussia proper, it was subdivided into 3 Polish Gulden = FL = Zloty , each of 30 Groschen (each Groschen = 18 Pfennige) or 90 Schilling. Prussia's currency was unified in 1821, with the Thaler subdivided into 30 Silbergroschen, each of 12 Pfennige. While the predominant North German thaler used in other North German states from 1750 to 1840 was issued 131⁄3 to a Mark and appeared in denominations of 2⁄3 and 11⁄3 thalers, the Prussian thaler was issued 14 to a Mark and appeared as a 1-thaler coin. From the 1840s several states set the value of the North German thaler to parity with the Prussian thaler, also 14 to a Mark. In 1857, these North German and Prussian thalers were replaced by the Vereinsthaler, having become the standard across much of Germany. (en)
