- Peter van Dievoet (/ˈdiːvʊt/; French: Pierre, Dutch: Peeter, Latin: Petrus; 1661–1729) was a sculptor, statuary, wood carver, and designer of ornamental architectural features from Brussels. He achieved fame for his work on a number of the Baroque guild houses of the Grand-Place (Brussels' main square), which was rebuilt after the bombardment of 1695, as well as on the Statue of James II in Trafalgar Square, London. He was the brother of Philippe van Dievoet, goldsmith to King Louis XIV of France and the uncle of the Parisian printer Guillaume Vandive. (en)

Na een stage in Londen in de studio van Grinling Gibbons kwam hij terug naar Brussel, waar hij voor de heropbouw van de Grote Markt van Brussel veel beeldhouwwerken heeft gemaakt. Hij is de broer van de goudsmid Philippe van Dievoet, goudsmid en raadsman van Lodewijk XIV van Frankrijk. De laatste originele sculpturen van Peter van Dievoet, in de traditie van Duquesnoy zijn te vinden in Brussel. Vele hebben de sloop van oude panden in de afgelopen jaren echter niet overleefd. (nl)
