- L’édition 2008 de One Night Stand est une manifestation de catch (lutte professionnelle) télédiffusée et visible uniquement en paiement à la séance. L'événement, produit par la World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), a eu lieu le 1er juin 2008 dans la salle omnisports San Diego Sports Arena à San Diego, en Californie. Il s'agit de la quatrième et dernière édition de One Night Stand, pay-per-view annuel qui sera remplacé l'année suivante par Extreme Rules. Sept matchs, dont deux mettant en jeu les titres de la fédération, ont été programmés. Chacun d'entre eux est déterminé par des storylines rédigées par les scénaristes de la WWE ; soit par des rivalités survenues avant le pay-per-view, soit par des matchs de qualification en cas de rencontre pour un championnat. L'événement a mis en vedette les catcheurs des divisions Raw, SmackDown et ECW, créées en 2002 lors de la séparation du personnel de la WWE en deux promotions distinctes. Le main event de la soirée est un Tables, Ladders and Chairs match, match sans disqualification pour le championnat du monde poids-lourd, dans lequel un catcheur doit décrocher la ceinture, suspendue au-dessus du ring, pour gagner. Edge remporte le match contre The Undertaker, et si Undertaker perdait, il devait quitter la WWE. It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brand divisions. The event took place on June 1, 2008, at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California. One Night Stand was discontinued and replaced by the similarly hardcore-themed Extreme Rules in 2009. The main match on the SmackDown brand was a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship between Edge and The Undertaker, which Edge won after retrieving the belt suspended above the ring. Per the pre-match stipulation, Undertaker was forced to leave WWE. The predominant match on the Raw brand was a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between Triple H and Randy Orton, which Triple H won after Orton failed to answer the ten-count. The primary match on the ECW brand was a Singapore Cane match involving Big Show, CM Punk, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and Tommy Dreamer. Big Show won the match after pinning Dreamer to become the number-one contender to the ECW Championship at Night of Champions. Featured matches on the undercard included Shawn Michaels versus Batista in a Stretcher match, John Cena versus John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL) in a First Blood match, and Beth Phoenix and Melina in the first-ever women's "I Quit" match.
