- OV7 (conocido en sus inicios como La Onda Vaselina, luego Onda Vaselina) es un grupo musical pop mexicano formado en el año 1989. El grupo surgió en el año 1989 como una agrupación infantil creada por la cantante y actriz mexicana Julissa con el nombre de La Onda Vaselina. En el año 2000, el grupo se independiza de su fundadora y resurge con su nombre y concepto actual. En el año 2003, el grupo decide separarse para brindarle la oportunidad a sus integrantes de desarrollarse de forma independiente. En el año 2022 la famosa agrupación retoma sus presentaciones bajo el concepto de OV7 Treinta. Gira qué celebra más de 30 años de trayectoria. La banda regresa los escenarios en el año 2010, con un nuevo álbum grabado en vivo con éxitos pasados y nuevas canciones. Desde entonces, la agrupación se ha mantenido vigente, principalmente a través de giras y colaboraciones con otras agrupaciones musicales. Paralelamente a su carrera musical, el grupo también protagonizó un documental dirigido por Carlos Marcovich titulado Cuatro labios, que seguía paso a paso las andanzas del grupo en la preparación de su gira de despedida en el año 2003. Han grabado 12 álbumes de estudio, 5 discos en vivo y diversos materiales recopilatorios. Han sido acreedores de discos de oro y platino, alcanzando ventas por más de 5 millones de copias y colocando sencillos en primer lugar de popularidad en México, España y varios países de Latinoamérica. - OV7, formerly known as La Onda Vaselina, is a Mexican Latin pop group formed in 1989, but it was not until the early 1990s that Onda Vaselina would begin to make their impact. La Onda Vaselina was formed with the members being children, but it was not until after they separated and reunited again in the late 1990s that they changed to "OV7" but then as adults. With a career spanning more than 30 years and several hits in the Latin American markets, OV7 remains as one of the most successful acts in Latin pop history. "OV7 (Onda Vaselina 7)" was the title used for the remaining band members since when they reunited in the late '90s, there were only seven of them in the group, hence the "7" in OV7. The reason for that title (OV7) was because due to legal rights of the "La Onda Vaselina" title, they could not use it as they were reuniting the group but not with all the other members. The group disbanded in 2003. In 2010 they reunited. As of 2017, the remaining members are Mariana Ochoa, Ari Borovoy, Érika Zaba, Lidia Avila, Oscar Schwebel and occasionally M'Balia Marichal. (en)
