- NonStop es una serie de servidores introducidos al mercado en 1976 por la empresa Tandem Computers Inc., comenzando con la línea de productos NonStop, a la que siguió la Hewlett-Packard Integrity NonStop. Actualmente, lo ofrece Hewlett Packard Enterprise desde la división de Hewlett-Packard Company en 2015. Debido a que los sistemas NonStop se basan en un conjunto integrado de hardware y software, HPE también desarrolló el sistema operativo NonStop OS para ellos. Los sistemas NonStop son capaces de, hasta cierto punto, repararse a sí mismos, estando equipados con casi todos los componentes redundantes necesarios para solucionar puntos únicos de fallo. Cuándo un componente principal falla, el sistema automáticamente recurre al de respaldo. Sie wurde ab 1974 von Tandem Computers entwickelt und 1976 mit dem System Tandem NonStop I erstmals auf den Markt gebracht. Seit Tandem 1997 zunächst von Compaq und dann 2002 von Hewlett-Packard übernommen wurde, sind die Systeme heute unter der Marke HP Integrity NonStop Server ein Teil der HP Integrity Server-Familie. NonStop-Systeme sind grundsätzlich Mehrprozessorsysteme, um im Falle von Hardware- oder Softwarefehlern ohne Ausfall weiterarbeiten zu können. Mit den 2008 eingeführten Systemen sind auch Mehrkernprozessoren (Doppelkern und Vierkern) verfügbar. (de)

It is currently offered by Hewlett Packard Enterprise since Hewlett-Packard Company's split in 2015. Because NonStop systems are based on an integrated hardware/software stack, HPE also developed the NonStop OS operating system for them. NonStop systems are, to an extent, self-healing. To circumvent single points of failure, they are equipped with almost all redundant components. When a mainline component fails, the system automatically falls back to the backup. These systems are often used by banks, stock exchanges, payment applications, retail companies, energy and utility services, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, telecommunication providers, transportation and other enterprises requiring extremely high uptime.
